Just so you know, I got the skin set up with my Blackberry.

    Thanks

Ok, the blackberry part scares me I have no idea how you are running the skin on that! As fas as the GPS Gas goes, if you have a GPS lock, it will automatically show the stations closest to you. You have to have a port spilitter and the zips.dat installed, but you probably know all that already. The zipcode entry, is just there as a backup, if you do not have a GPS signal.

Cool, got that working. Had a problem with XPort, wrong port (oooops)

Another thing, I have RR "announce" the screen. However, during operation of my carputer, I consistantly hear the word "locate" being spoken. What is that, and how can I stop it, other than shutting of the "announce" feature.

    Thanks
    Michael

That is part of the City, County, State and Zip Code labels that are updated on a timer.

I wish there were a way to have Road Runner not speak certain things that are happening, but currently there is not.

The only way to stop it from saying "locate" is to remove the following line in the rr.ini:
    Code:
    localdatacaptureinterval=1
Doing so however, the labels that contain your current city and such will not update.

On a side note, I just got a PM from someone, asking me to add flash gauges, such as a speedometer, compass and such to the skin. I may do this for a past release if I can find the time

    iGuidance 4.0 and DigitalFX

Ok, iG4 finally got here to day via FedEx! I have been testing for the past couple of hours and have good news!

As reported most everything works right out of the box with the skin! All of the buttons on the pop-up work, except for one, the "Closest fast food" button. That is due to some changes made in iG4. There are now 2 pages for finding destinations, instead of the single one before.

The GPS Gas was not working, as the coordinates were not added back into iGuidance 4.0. After a bit of ResHacking, I was able to put the coordinates back in, and the GPS Gas works again. I am just now starting to add the graphics back in again. I just can not stand the default red, yellow, purple and teal color it comes with stock! Yuck!

The only screen I have done so far is the main menu screen, and as you can see it looks just like before.

Hopefully I will have this done in a week or so, and have a new patch for you iG4 users out there to bring all the functionality back again.

My favorite feature, is that with a registry hack (A very simple one I might add) you can make iGuidance speak with 100% text to speech. It sounds so much better than trying to paste all the .wav files together!

    "Instead of "
    in.. 1.2 MILES... turn RIGHT"

You now get a nice smooth voice saying:

"In 1.2 Miles turn right onto Forrest Hill Blvd."

The addition of the street names being spoken is certainly a nice feature for sure!

    Question Random video

Hi, is it possible to randomize the videos? In my case when I press the >>| button it will display the next video in order...

It's maybe a basic question but...

Also would like to also mention that this is the best skin in my opinion. Using RoadRunner, DigitalFX 2.0 and Destinator 6.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem. Thanks, Mike

On other screens the song name is displayed as "Song Name - blank". I expect that it should display "Album - Song Name".

Album art is displaying just fine.

Music is encoded as m4a's and Winamp is version 5.33 if that makes any difference.

The default RR skin shows a scrolling Song Name.

This could be a basic RR issue but this is the only skin that I can really see the problem happening on.

    EDIT

Well it looks like it has something to do either with Winamp 5.33 or m4a encoding. I'll have to reinstall 5.33 and run it with the mp3 files. If it works with them then it's the m4a files. I'll update when I figure this out.

m4a files and Winamp 5.33 Please Help

I am running fX 2.0 with Winamp 5.33 and I converted all my cd's with Winamp 5.33 to m4a music files. When the song is playing in RR I only see the song name and no other info on the screen. I have read and read and have found nothing. Can someone please shed some light on this. Thanks!

PS: All the song info shows up when running only Winamp but when running RR only get the song name.

Open RR config, and make sure you are set to read the information from the tags. Also you can format what you see when RR is playing a song.

As for randomizing video, this a totally a RR thing, and not a skin issue, and personally do not know how to go about setting that up. Sorry, wish I could have provided an answer for you guys.

    John,

for Iguidance can you add in a save current location button, I know it can be done with AutoIT, Marvin was planning on adding it into ver 1.26 of IGkeys

This can easily be done without AutoIt. Simply change one of the buttons on the iGuidance skin of your choosing, to "SENDKEY;%{f}{l}"

This rapidly, without seeing the dropdown, will sent AltF (File Menu dropdown) then the L for saveLocation.

That will work in the mean time. I intend on adding this, and a couple of other new buttons to the iGuidance skin for the next release as well.
