Do you have the latest version of Flash? Make sure to download using Internet Explorer rather than Firefox or another browser.

However, if I close out of Road Runner and then open iGuidance (Same directory and filename) its finds the GPS mouse fine and works great.
It sounds like you need a port splitter. You can't run iGuidance and get the compass, etc. in RR without a port splitter. Do a search for Xport3, download and set it up per the instructions and you should be fine.

What do you mean by the transparencies? Are you referring to the visuals? Whatever it is, I don't think it's related to the GPS issue.

    IT WORKS!! SWEET!
As you may know, the file is too large, but after having deleted all but a few states, it works. IL and IN work fine. I can check MI and WI, if needed.

I did notice that there were a few states missing, but I really don't think I'll be making a road trip to Hawaii or Alaska anytime soon.

Thanks for fixing this issue! If you recall I was the one that was off by an entire state let alone a few cities!

    Your brilliant!
the flash update worked! Also the Xport3 seems to be doing its job!
Only one last thing... The transperancies i spoke of are the backrounds.. like in weather (Which I still have to figure out how to update the radar and sat images)
Other than that... Its just about ready for install...
    Thanks Kbreeden!

Just noticed another thing.. Seems the compass on the main page no longer works. Any ideas? Everything else using GPS works great!

I believe the file includes more states then needed actually. I know it includes PR, and at one point, it included all APOs as well. Please let me know if there are/you believe there are any states that are missing.

As for the weather images, check the help file that came with the skin (Linked in your Start Menu under the folder of DigitalFX. Look for the section on how to get the weather to work.

As for the transparencies, I think you mean to change the background image. This is done in the skin. From the main menu, click Menu to go to the second menu, then settings, and then DigitalFX settings. on that screen click the "Change skin color" and select a background from the list on the right, and then click the Change button. You should be set to go then.

    Quick question....

Earlier in the thread it was mentioned that the rr installed with Digital could cause some instability for some systems (including my own). Has this been rectified? I note a lot of talk about zip.dat, which only works with the very latest (or am I missing something?).

    Hey John,
Thank you for your patience... This worked. As for the help file, I probably would have found it had I not changed my shell to roadrunner for memory.
Any idea on the compass problem? (This is the only thing left I believe)

You're probably referring to an early post by JohnWPB saying that he thought Sonic's RR beta may be causing some instability. It is that version that incorporates the zip.dat and enables use of location (city, state, zip) display and weather by location. I don't think anyone has definitively verified that Sonic's beta causes instability. I do know that every now and then I'll get a spontaneous reboot for no apparent reason. I have no idea whether the beta is the source of that or not, but it doesn't happen often enough that I'm willing to give up the features the beta provides. Other than that, my system is rock solid.

My guess is that you still don't have Xport set up correctly. Go to GPS Stats on the second menu of DigitalFX and see if there are any satellites showing. If not, either XPORT or RRconfig is not set up correctly. Remember that the GPS port you choose in RRConfig is the port RoadRunner (compass, speed, etc.) uses, not the port your Nav is using. You should set the port for your nav program to use within the nav program itself.
