Once this feature get out and gets used more, this extra added time you spent adding that GUI will make easier for anyone to use and will lessen the "how do I"'s.

Well...it was a slow day at work yesterday, so I started playing with it at around 11:00am and finished the UI work at about 3:00. Then it took another 1+ to find the damn jpg and convert it to an icon...and embed it in the app.

Doing the code and layout of the UI took a long time because everyitem was X 52. It got old quickly!

You were right though...I always wanted there to be a UI and I'm glad it's done.

You were right though...I always wanted there to be a UI and I'm glad it's done.

I'm not an "Expert" at progaming, but I'd say pretty good. I do not know what coding lang you did it in but your "X 52" just seems like the long way of coding, instead of using like a loop or a single function that you would just feed each state selected and it would add it to a string and upon exiting the app writes that string to a file...just curious?

Doesn't matter really, it works <-- that matters...LOL

I've tested on several PC's and it works Great. I am going on a road trip to NY from Chicago and this will be very handy.

I just finished writing a zip code locator in C (instead of Visual Basic) and the lokup time is very quick. If this code could be incorporated into RR, it would make the zip code extractor unnecessary.

I wrote it as a simple function that takes lon & lat and spits out all the data from the zips.dat file.

I heard Guino is not so actively involved (since he too is moving)...who should I speak with about maybe incorporating this into RR?

OK, Internet is back to normal here FINALLY! Took them 2 days to find a problem iwth some wire/relay or something between here and their hub.

I hope to be releasing a new update to the skin here soon, I know it has been a while! The problem is, that I lost the original installer configuration, and have had to to it from scratch. All SHOULD work well, but there may be some file here or there that does not get copied to the correct location, or a DLL or something that does not get registered properly.

I should have the new version out within the week, and it has a LOT of fixes, updates, new features... far to many to mention everything here. It will all be listed in the help file under the Revision History.

So give me a few days, and hopefully it will be worth the wait....

Not sure if this question has been asked or if you are intending to implement this or not. But i love the skin, but there are a lot of buttons that i don't use. is there going to be a way to choose the buttons on the main screen, ie just music, GPS, video and phone for example. I know that with some skins the buttons are generic and changeble using editor? any thoughts.
