Digital FX 2.0 Still working strong!

John, my digital fx front end is still purring along in my H2. I would love to see some updates though.

I know that with some skins the buttons are generic and changeble using editor? any thoughts.
That probably will not make this release, as I would like to get it out in the next few days or so. I will say, that this is something I am probably going to do here in the near future though. It will allow you to press and hold a button on the main menu screens, and choose the function that you want assigned to that button.

This will take some time though! as right now the text on the buttons is in the actual image files, there are like 5 sets of menu buttons, icons for the buttons will have to be displayed correctly when the text and function changes... so basically... It's going to be a nightmare! hahahh

I will start on this though after the release, and give it my best go. Gonna have to do some research, and so on to tie it all in.

swwesq, glad to hear it, and hopefully the update will be out here soon!

Looking forward to the new release, John. I'm still using iG 3.0, so I'm wondering if it's going to be optimized for use with iG 4.0. Based on your experience with 4.0, do you think it's worth going for the extra $79?

Where did you find it for $79? The best price I found was $95.

    Thanks
Do a search of my name in this thread. I asked the same question months ago and some very good answers were posted.

    Wired/Michael,

Thanks a lot for the work you did putting together the new zips file. I've used it for a couple of days now and it's a lot more accurate.

I thought I read somewhere that upgrades are $79. I haven't verified it so maybe I'm just dreaming. This will be the third time I've bought the program, so it's starting to get expensive.

    IG3 Update

I feel the same way. But before I pay the money to update, does anyone have experience as to whether its really worth it?

Also, does anyone know if there is any Nav software out that will show traffic updates like some of the OEM car systems?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    iGuidance 3.0 -VS- 4.0

iGuidance 4.0 is the same thing as iGuidance 3.0, with the following major updates.

iGuidance 3.0 had around 1 million POI's, 4.0 has 6 Million broken into catagories in the menu's now.

    - iGuidance 4.0 is capable of using Text to speech for all spoken text. Meaning, that instead of, "In ONE mile....Turn Right". You would now hear, "In one mile, turn right onto Maple Drive".

Those are the only major differences between 3.0 and 4.0. For me, the Text to speech was the selling point. The voice is much more pleasant, and speaks the street names.

Download the zipped Mp3 below to hear the new speech system.

You are welcome. I would say it was my pleasure, but truthfully, it was no pleasure, but it was well worth it. Southern california, for the most part, had a single set of coordinates associated with every zip code. Now, it works much better, glad it works for you as well.
