I tried to install the skin and received the same "file not found" error, but a different line number. I then tried the patch that came out 2day and still received an error. I then went to my RR\Skin directory, deleted any folders that had been created from failed attempts and was then able to successfully install the skin? Hope this will help in troubleshooting, seems to have a problem only if it finds an existing directory for me.

Ok, I really want to get this installer working for everyone. I just spent a couplf of hours going through the installer script and adding a bunch of code. It appears that the problem, was not really a file not found, but had to do with overwriting a file that was registered, and possibly in use. The scrip will no longer copy the .DLL's if they exist already, but will still register them just to make sure. It will also no longer change your screen resolution you have set in the general.ini file, as well as not overwriting your pin code for the screen lock utility.

Someone please give this Brushed Metal version a try and let me know. If all is will I will fix the other 3 installers, and re-upload the complete packages to the server.

EDIT: You will get a few pop-up's that I forgot in the installer script, saying either copied or not copied, those were for testing purposes, and will be removed when released officially on the site for download.

even with the new skin file AND updating my V Basic to ver. 6

ok got it to work by
deleting everything in the C:Program Files/Road Runner/Skins folder first.

The test install worked for me, with 3 "not copied" pop ups. This is on a system that previously would not install via script.

BM installer ver 1/16/07 4:06 PM worked for me. 3 "not copied" popups.

Ok, I think you are somehow still running the old version of the installer.
"Script: E:\carputer\Install DigitalFX BM|.vbs"
The above line, from your error code still has the |(Pipe Symbol). I removed that on the version I posted above as it was a typo.

Whenever I reboot I get this. Then after I exit the program and restart it, it works fine. Also it's only the main screen, if I press the menu button to go to the 2nd menu everything is fine. Does anyone else get this or know how to fix it? This only happens on my install on my hp laptop. My thinkpad works fine.

I tried using your updated installer for BM (the one you posted a few posts above). It worked, but there was a catch. The first time I ran it, I got the same "File not Found" error. However, as another poster mentioned, I deleted the other skin folders in the main skins folder, and it installed just fine. I then had to re-copy the other skins I use into the skins folder.
