Does anybody know how to map the volume + and - controls to the winamp volume? I had to change my settings to the weak soundcard because the volume used to mute when I tried to increase or decrease the volume. So right now I have no control of the volume from the screen. I just thought this might be a fix to me being able to control my music volume.

    Thankyou

You can't set it to winamp directly, but you can set it to the wave line for instance which should have virtually the same effect. You can alternatively edit the skin (or exectbl) to where the buttons control winamp instead of the selected audio line in the config. It wouldn't hurt to try and find newer/updated drivers for your sound card though.

Before the latest release of the skin, iguidance would reduce the volume based on the % value in the config. Now it doesn't. Any idea where I should start looking to fix the issue? All I can look for with my knowledge on the subject is to verify that the right rr.ini is being picked up (there is only one) and the versions: the latest FX skin version, winamp 2.95 and iguadance 3.0.

There are a number of us having this same problem. Are there any known RR/DFX problems related to this? I ask about these two since they were both changed with the last release.

Also, and maybe more importantly, is there a complete how-to to setup a system properly to allow iGuidance speaking to mute/lower the volume of XM/Sirius/Winamp? I have read a bunch in this forum and have found plenty of conflicting details. For example, what should the volumes be set at for Winamp/iGuidance/wave/master/line-in/etc. Also, what settings in rr.ini and exectbl.ini be to make sure this works properly?

It appears there are some new entries in rr.ini (like xmline)...are these important??

Sorry, no matter what I read and try, I just can't seem to get this working.

    Thanks for any help.

Sorry if this has come up in the skin - i checked back a bunch of pages and didn't see it mentioned - if so, if someone can just point me to the post that would be great. Anyway, I updated to the latest version of dfx/rr (as per the first post here) and now I'm having occasional freezing. I'll just be playing music and rr freezes up. Winamp keeps playing - songs change, etc. Sometimes it comes back and finds the song Winamp is playing and sometimes I have to ctrl+alt+del it and relaunch road runner.

Anyone experienced this? BTw- 2.95 winamp.

set localdatcaptureinterval=0 in rr.ini if that helps, look for a file called ziplocator.dll, and rename or delete it, then set localdatcaptureinterval back to 0

I have seen the same lockups with and without ziplocator.dll. I don't that has anything to do with the lockups.

The zips.dat is large. Try editing the zips.dat in notepad so that there are only a couple of entries. The format of the data in the zips.dat must be correct. 5 digits for zip, lat - 6 decimal places, lon 7 - decemal places, all seperated by a comma and in quote marks.

Thanks - I'll try those suggestions tomorrow and see if it helps (it's hard to tell since the lockups seem pretty random).

On another note - when I make favorites lists in the sirius window I seem to lose them after a few weeks. Any word on that? I wonder if it's related to my problem where road runner doesn't remember the song playing on exit.
