Ok, I just downloaded the skin from the site, and installed it here... The installer ran to completion without any problem.. I am not sure what could be the problem on your end, other than possibly a corrupt DL.
From what I have seen...the volume control issue was solved a long time ago, and most people had it working correctly. With the last release of the skin, was also a new RR release and RR config release. The RR Config will ask you when it is run if you want the music to lower when you first run it, (The big black box, with the bright red small print red text) and many people just hit yes, without reading the screen
This is probably changing settings that you had successfully working before using the new config. Especially the music pausing when iG speaks, as it tries to remove that for you, and make the volume lower instead. I am not sure what the config is changing when this happens, but has caused at least 4 new threads about the auto volume stopped working the way that users had it set.
The new config is great, and definitely FAR better than the old one, but personally, I don't think having it change settings on it's own is such a great idea. I do not want it changing the way I have it set, but it asks me every single time I open the RR config if it wants me to set it up for me! Letting the users change what they want, and how they want, in full control is, I think, a better way to go. This is just my 2 cents worth![]()

Hmmm This has be baffled then, and would like to get to the bottom of it. The strange thing is, that the skin has nothing whatsoever to do with the volume lowering, in any way. Those settings are in the RR.ini file, and have nothing to with what skin is being used. There is no code in the skin files, on the buttons ect, that have anything to do with the iGvolume settings... as far as I know at least![]()

There is definitely something weird going on.
John, is your music pausing or is the volume simply lowering when iG speaks? I haven't yet found anybody who has confirmed that pause works, only some who say that volume decreases.
Also, in rr.ini is the setting supposed to be "pauseonvoice=true" or "pauseonvoice=1" or does it not matter? I have seen it both ways in my rr.ini after tinkering with the settings.
I believe there may be some sort of conflict with setting the pause in RR Config and setting it through the autoconfig button in the skin. This evening I set it up to pause in RR Config (the new one). When it didn't work I went into autoconfig in the skin and both autoswitch and pause showed "no", despite the fact that I had just set them to yes in RR Config. I then also set them to yes through autoconfig and it still didn't work. I would think that all that would matter is what winds up in rr.ini. It's all the more perplexing because autoswitch is working fine.
Finally, in RR Config, for iGuidance should we select "External" and "Native" or just "Native" or just "External"? And does it really make any difference which one we select?
Native and external is the only way that I know that its supposed to work, but I have never tried to set it any differently..

I just noticed that when the visualizer is on @ the main screen and you click power button, the power skin pops up but the viz covers the first button which of course if the power off.
Can anyone confirm this?

I also wanted to check something with the via, when I have it playing in road runner the CPU usage jumps to near 100% vs around 10% when not on. This causes the time labels in the player skin to flicker every second, along with the postion cursor. Also, the viz runs slower. The weird thing is if i have road rinner playing but minimized and open the viz window seperately through winamp i dont get the slowdown. Its only when the viz is embedded.
I'm running a jetway board with a 1.5via and on board graphics. Is my CPU just too slow to handle the embedded viz or is there something I can tweak? Thanks!
