I usually get a spike about 80-90% to get the viz on, then it drops back to my norm (3-12%).

Yea, there are a lot of things to speed Road Runner up in that post. For the Visualization, #7 will be of the most interest to you.

im having problems installing the skin. i was using lsxvoid 2.0 before and wanted to try digitalfx 2.0 but no matter what i do i get a balcnk screen with like a middle bar black with some clear/white lettering and some purple in there. kinda hard to explain but when i load up RR with the skin set to dfx2.0, i cant see the screen or any buttons and i tried clicking just anywhere and nothing works. i do hear music resume though but thats about it.

here is what im talking about. i did add the extra line that was mentioned in the installer into rr.ini.

Make sure your using latest RR ver, and have the file gdipluswrapper.dll in your rr folder, then did one of two things, ran my config or registered that gdi file. Other than that, it should just work..

Is your install in the default location?

if not, make sure the file you added to your RR.ini file points to the right folder.

RR is not finding the background files.

Code:

picspath=C:\Program Files\Road Runner\skins\DigitalFX 2.0\Backgrounds

go to your " Backgrounds" folder and make sure folder is where the code said it is.
Make sure it is right.

Thats 50% of it, thats the path that will show the list of images in the directory list in the skin.

In the skin.ini file, in the skin folder, look for this line:

background=C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\DigitalFX 3.0\Backgrounds\Clown Fish.jpg

And change it to the path to your images as well.
