Not sure I like the color scheme you chose there, so don't expect me to create a new skin for it

I have never seen or heard of this before with a RR skin. From past Hardware experience, it looks like a graphic card problem in some way or another. I would try updating the GFX car drivers if HP has an update. Thats all I can suggest on this one....

However, as another poster mentioned, I deleted the other skin folders in the main skins folder, and it installed just fine. I then had to re-copy the other skins I use into the skins folder.
Ok, this installer is officially starting to P me off I just don't get it. When skins are there it says file not found, if you remove the other skins, then the file is mysteriously found? This is driving me batty, and it's very hard to trouble shoot here, as I have never gotten that error. I have completely removed my Road Runner folder, and installed it, installed it to 2 different locations on 2 different hard drives, installed it over itself... and all went without a hitch. I know it has to be something simple, but I cant seem to track it down. It seems to work fine for some people, and not for others. It just is not making any sense to me.

I will keep digging and see what I can come up with. Can you post the exact error text and such here?

    EQ On/Off

I know on the last version of blue Devil there was a hidden button to turn on/off the EQ.

Where is it on digital FX? Also there appears to be no notice of on/off, as I know mine is on, but there is no "ON" light as there was from Blue Devil.

    as always: this skin rocks!

The DigitalFX BM skin was working great until i installed the flash update. It was a fresh install of XP. I downloaded the uninstall from adobe via: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowled...fm?id=tn_14157. I then tried to run RR and it just froze. Then i reinstalled version 8 via: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowled...fm?id=tn_14266 and it was still freezing upon startup. So i redownloaded 9 BMV2 will work(with flash logo's) but DigitalFX won't?
I realize this isn't totally an issue with this particular skin, but i can run flash within the BMV2 and my CPU stays low(around 5-6%). But when i change the skin to DigitalFX BM the buttons don't work and CPU peaks out @ 100%. Now BMV2 is great and all, but DigitalFX is def. my preferred skin. I've looked @ the FAQ and the flash.zip file link is down. Not sure if it's the same as the above one i downloaded though? Any thoughts or suggestions on why flash will work on BMV2 but not yours? I will test/work/try anything until my fingers fall off.........
installed 4in1 update and graphics drivers already also. anything other info that will help?

Built in File browser to copy files.

I will look into that and see what I might have broke

I have been working on a major application / file copier for Road Runner. Road Runner does not allow you to show the "My Computer" list to browse from. You can only force it to show C: D: ect, but not the list of drive letters to choose from. Road Runner does also not have a way to see what drives are hooked to the computer. It also can not copy files from one place to another. So you can see why I said major application

When completed, and I am 80% completed with it now, it will allow you to browse any drive or folder on your computer and select media files & folders to move to your default music, video or pictures folder.

The back end is done with scripts that RR sends information to and back from to make this all work. It is VERY fast though, and is tightly integrated and seamless. The drive letters that show on the left are dynamic, meaning the drives that are attached to your system. If you plug in a USB thumb drive, memory card reader or what not, hit the refresh button, and the drives will update to show the newly attached drives. When you remove the drive, the letters will disappear from the skin.

You can not immagine the code and stuff to get this to work!

Why did I do this? I am sick of taking out my memory card, or Hard Drive to update my music, Video's ect, and having to deal with 800 x 600 windows on a 7" screen! It is almost impossible to select files and perform a right click to copy and all that mess!

This will allow you browse to and highlight the folder of newly ripped DVD's on your external drive for instance, and simply click "Copy to Video" and you are done. The scripts are set up in such a way that it will not overwrite exsisting files. This means if you add 2 DVD's to your har drive, and plug it in into the CarPC and use the skin to copy over your DVD dir, it will not copy over the 100 or so other dvd, but just the 2 that were not on the computer. It's almost like a simulated way to "sync" the files, but only in one direction.

Here is a proof of concept snapshot. It is not quite complete yet, and I may change things around a little bit before the release.

I have been working on a major application / file copier for Road Runner.
You do realize that there are twelve step programs available for people like you don't you?

Seriously, it looks like an interesting idea. I agree that it's a real pain to do any kind of file manipulation on that little screen. It probably won't be of much use to me because my carputer drive is in a disk caddy that I just take out and plug into my destop when I'm ready to transfer files. I can see it being of tremendous use to people using other file update methods though.

First of all, this is a fantastic skin that is far more useable than any others I've used.

I'm just tweaking my install and need to know how to configure the skin for Freedrive. I tried looking at the BlueDevil guide but when I use Freedrive it shows the iguidance side bars.

    Any tips would be cool.

    Cheers.
