IMO, RadioShark blows. it works fine if it is in a wide open area and stationary. Once you have to put it in your trunk and you're driving, the radio cuts in and out all the time. i've been looking for a decent hack, but have yet to find one that actually boosted the performance enough to be constantly usable. the only good thing i can say is that it easily migrates and works with RR
Hi all, I am using this skin and loving it, however I cant seem to make the 5 star rating system on the songs work. When I rate a song, it seems to take but when I go in under the 5 star listing in the skin, there are no songs listed. Is there something I need to toggle on?
Also I tried searching but this forum is so huge and it was bringing up stuff completely different from this skin.

Maybe that's the problem: putting in the trunk. I would consider putting it behind the rear seats on the console exposed to the sky (like my GPS). Have you tried it this way?Quote:

Have you connected the radio Shark to the antenna on your truck. I bought a right angle connector which is about 6" long with a Female connector and one and and a male connector at the other, cut of the male connector and replced it with the same type that comes on the little external arial. Seems to work quite well when driving.Quote:

HD radio differs in the actual audio quality of the audio. It is a digital signal, -vs- an analog signal. I have yet to hear it myself, but have read multiple times the audio quality is a night and day difference.Quote:

As far as the skins go, with the new dynamic buttons on the menu's you will be able to choose "Radio" or "HD Radio" depending what you are using on your system.
You can check THIS THREAD for the model numbers and search google for the hardware, as well as a list of stations avail in your area on page 2 or so in that thread. In my area I have over 30 stations broadcasting in HD.
Oh, one more note, any station can have multiple "sidebands" or station choices. For instance one station here that broadcasts on standard FM here, is a classic rock station. They also have avail a HD version of the same broadcast, as well as a 2nd HD feed that is the same station, but caters more to hard rock. Basically, this one station in my area, has 3 feeds to choose from.
On another note, I have not been posting as much as normal in this thread, as I am really trying to get all of the stuff ready for the next release. That, as well as being a Moderator now, has increased my PM's to about 5-10 a day, as well as about 5 or so emails a day pertaining to Road Runner and the skin. I am glad to see a lot of you helping to answer some of the questions in the thread, thank you all very much.

and since ur in this process of redoing every thing....
can u add a function for GATSO hunter as well instead of we running it in a separate window....( the funtions to add cam and edit ) will make things a lot more comfortable and classy

you don't have to have gatso hunter,as you can add speed cams to d6 via favourites , but you will need a convertor program , will look into that for you as i want to do that to, but if you still want gatso i have a different skin i use for d6 which has gatso labels at the top, and you can have gatso in your start up folder which will also start gatso and rr.Quote:
