Thread: Digital FX 2.0 Transparent Released

I have asked this many times and no one touches it?

How can I make it to where while im in RR/DFX and I go to skin chooser (load skin) and choose another skin, that it swith on the fly TO THAT SKIN?

It doesnt do it and never has done it. I have to set skins in rrconfig.

Whats the point of a skin chooser (load skin) within dfx if it wont change the skin on the fly?

By the way, the Google Earth button in DFX3.0 is only supposed to load Google Earth, not the RREarth plugin. I have confirmed with John that nothing else is supposed to happen at this point. He said he may try to incorporate the RREarth plugin with the official release, but I don't know if he will.

You should be able to use RREarth with the DFX3.0 beta, but you will have to set up a button to load the RREarth skin that comes with the plugin, substituting the attached jpg for the one supplied with the plugin to make things look nicer.

Yea that skin....basically anything other than the ugly black.red one Where can i get that?

Ahh thanks for clarifying that i have no idea how to do what you said so i will wait and see if john adds it to the final version

Also something weird.

I changed the RADIO button in Menu.skin to:
B04,2,260,236,82,"GE_START"

This works, when I press the Radio button the RREarth.skin opens. When i close out, I get Google Earth embedded in the area on the Menu.skin that shows the name /artist cpu...etc Why is that?

How can I change the word RADIO on the Menu.skin to say something else like RREarth?

This is a known issue. I had it too long ago. For the life of me, though, I can't remember what I did to get rid of it. There is probably some discussion of it in the RREarth or DigitalFX threads, but good luck finding it. If I think of the solution I'll let you know.

If you're using 3.0 open the exectbl.ini which is in the DigitalFX 3.0 folder. Find the following lines and change the word RADIO to whatever you want the button to say:
