As many of you know what happened with CDR's skin, and it being used commercially without his consent. It is one thing to work on something to share with others here on the forum, and another when someone takes another's work and uses it to try to make money from it.

Another is, I have been pondering the idea of using this skin for install's, both myself, and possibly for use in install shops. This actually is in the works right now. YES Guino has been notified, and an agreement is currently under way.

John - just an idea - how about providing the psd's to a few people just to create some new colors. Like the green for that guy one post up?

And nope, I wouldn't volunteer. Graphics and I don't get along. That's the biggest reason I wouldn't do my own skin.

Ok, I might volunteer, but nobody would want me to, I guarantee I'd manage to f' it up in minutes

It depends on the green. If it were Sherwood Green, Pine Green or perhaps some sort of dark metallic green then yes.

Ricer neon green, heck no.

Hi Thanks first of all to your reply to my problem with freedive and your skin.
I am still having a problem, i got it all installed including the old destinator skin.
When i start GPS i get all the IGuidance buttons on the screen rendering the freedrive screen squashed. I have tried all the diffrent settings i can find but cant seem to get it to work. Also is the any tutorial etc to get mapmonkey to work with your skin. As i am in the UK I am restricted to what i can use. also does your skin work with thw 2.1 version of iguidance.

Anyway, is the blue skin still the only one fully up-to-date? Your download page implies that the others haven't been updated since 1/11, and I don't recall seeing anything about another update in this thread.

A quick and easy fix, would be to rename the "External_GPS.skin" to something else (This is the iGuidance skin). Now rename the FreeDrive.skin to External_GPS.skin" and all should work well. Both iGuidance and Freedrive,are considered "External" GPS programs, so there is no way to differentiate them in the RR.ini/RR Config utility.

Right now, yes, that is the case. The Blue one will always be the one that is updated the most often, and then when it is stable, I will redo the other 3 colors as well. It is just way to much to try to update every single skin, with every single change.

Was making some minor changes to the menu.skin.

I noticed a couple of things I don't understand (likely cuz I'm a NooB)

At the top, you are doing a "GE_START", as well as a hidden Button for audiocopy.skin.

Are those just artifacts that need cleaning up? Or am I confused?

If curious as to the changes I was making, since I'm using a laptop, I included a couple of the powermon plugin labels. Then just for grins, I added GPSSAT to the right of the text in the GPS button. I did that until I work out 100% the USB ports coming out of hibernate.
