In your rr.ini make sure the line "localdatacaptureinterval=1" appears.

To use the EQ, you will need to open it, and adjust the EQ to your liking. If you are listening to say a Rock song, adjust the EQ settings until they are too your liking. When you have done that, you then press and HOLD one of the buttons for two seconds, Rock in this case. This will save the current settings to that button. You will need to do the same for each button that you want to configure.

TIP: Instead of starting from scratch each time, You can tap the Rock button again, to start from there, and just adjust so there is more bass for instance, and save that for the "Rap" setting by holding that button down for 2 seconds.

That was taken from the help section of DFX2.
How can I be certain the change is happening? I think I followed the directions pretty good and it doesnt reflect any change when I select differant eq settings.
I have a little issue with winamp eq setting not save too, hope someone could hlep. I followed instruction hold the button for more then 2 second to save, then I select other button and go back to previous one, the setting is not save. please advise.
    Thanks

One other thought does the 'zips.dat' need a DLL? and does that DLL need to get loaded registered? or something?

There is an ziplocator.dll file but DO NOT use as it hasn't worked with the last couple of rr releases. rr will just use its internal way if that dll is not present.

You said in post 3590 that zip.dat was already there. No matter what you do, it will not work unless you have "localdatacaptureinterval=1" in your rr.ini.

I did have the zip.dat but the one I downloaded as part of the RR_INSTALLER was quite bigger in size. So once I put that version in and verified the localdatacapturelevel=1 everything started working, including the GPS weather updating..

Only one problem though the CPU is now 100% all the time it was always around 9% before!

*SIGH* is this also a known problem I missed?

There is no way the zip locator should be causing anywhere close to 100% cpu usage.

thats the only change i have made I guess I should try and rename it and see if the CPU usage drops
