I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here that has helped me resolve my Carputer issues.
I procrastinated for quite awhile on building my box, but took the plunge, and could't be happier.
I own three cars, and will be building the next two boxes soon enough.
Again thanks to all for posting your solutions and issues.
Let me leave you with this....
Carputer.... it's not a hobby... it's an addiction !

John where are you these days? Our fearless leader and your MIA. Waiting for the final 3.0 has been killing me for months!

Lets all send him a paypal for an extra $20, it will really ad up and when hes rich he can quit his job and dedicate his time to our skins!

Would it be possible to have dynamic buttons(e.g. user chooses what buttons show up on his/her screen)

I think John mentioned that as being a feature in v3.0. but not sure, cause I'm not a beta tester.

I think he was more or less kidding( I don't think you guys can pay John enough for him to quit his job,

) I'm sure John will appreciate it none the less, and much deserved for all his hard work and time spent on his skin.

It's in 3.0.

Cool, anyone know if radio text will be in V 3.0? (Is it called RDS or RBDS? I don't know if that's something else)

In the default BMV2 skin, I see the text that the radio stations transmit, including radio station name as well as artist/title of the currently playing song, but it isn't in DFX 2.5. Not complaining, just asking - I love this skin.
