the question that needs to be asked is how do you use regserv32. I doubt many people know how (aka non power/super users!). so an explanation would be in order.

ok to register a file: (Was just a skin, now computer lessons, I charge double for this :D )
Get to a command prompt (Start, choose run and type cmd and click ok/press enter)
Browse to the directory that road runner is in using this command:
Once in the directory type:Code:cd c:\program files\road runner
You will get a confirmation that the dll has been registered with windows, and you are good to go.Code:regsvr32 mp3art.dll

BTW, Sangre, your Signature is SOOOoo Old school :)
.
I tried to register mp3art.dll, everything was ok, but the embedded art still not working, do i need also to add that command in the main menu? or you already did that? I checked the embedded art with centrafuse, and ot's working fine, for some reason it's not working under road runner.
let me look into it here and see whats going on....
Here are the instructions from Giono:
DoneQuote:
1- Copy MP3ART.DLL to install location (of your choice -- DO NOT MOVE IT AFTER STEP 2!)
You did thatQuote:
2- Regsvr32 MP3ART.DLL
It's in the skin, as I just checked itQuote:
3-Add: X,Mp3Art to menu.skin of desired skin
I will do some further testing by removing images from some of my folders ect.
Skin is GREAT! Quick question John or anyone else who may know. I followed the instructions to add the spectrum analyzer as my visualization. It worked great at first, now when I hit visualize the analyzer will never show up in the box. It seems to end up where I last left it with winamp open without RR. I added the !Winamp Gen!AVS to the AVS window title, but I can think of anything else.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
This is one of the issues I also have with the vis and discussed it with JohnWPB when first released. Embedding doesn't work as normal with this vis. You can only move the vis around when running Winamp stand alone, so you basically have to guess where it need to be and then use trial and error to get it in the exact spot needed for the skin. This vis is the only one I've used that doesn't embed within the confines of the embedding area.
Another issue with this vis is if you use more than one skin, its location is ofset from the embedded area but the sizing is right - strange.
Again, if this is the only skin you're running you need to go back and forth from RR to Winamp adjusting the location of the vis till it matches with the album art, then you never have to touch it again.
Great Work!!!
Bugs i have found so far:
- autoinstall script doesnt seem to work right, got the same error as reported earlier in this thread
- GPS i am running MS S&T 2007, blue window covers the front, and once S&T comes up, RR menu goes in the back.
- Logo is showing up to be all white, can't change the logo, seem like the filter for extention might not be set right.
- Settings skin, doesnt seem to do much as to what its suppose to.
- RR Config doesnt launch
- Control Panel doesnt launch
- Wireless Network, Bluetooth, and Display Settings dont seem to do anything.
Thats all i found so far, will test more tomorrow.
looks nice, good work, wish i could do all that with flash(i think thats what u have used)
RR config, control panel launches, works fine for me , i just still can't figure embedded art thing
Ok, the spectrum analyzer embedding has definitely been an issue, that I didn't have myself, until recently. After I installed the Jump to track plugin, and updated the JTT winamp plugin, it started happening. I was going nuts here trying to figure it out! I finally uninstalled Winamp, and reinstalled it and all went back to normal. It SEEMS to be connected to the JTT feature somehow.
Can anyone else confirm if this seems related to when yours stopped working, of if you had installed this prior to trying to skin?
