Digital FX 2.0 Transparent Released

I just loaded up a brand new PC with XP, did all the updates, got everything humming, etc.

I ran the RR installer first, then the installer for the blue DFX skin, which I downloaded fresh off the site (blue). Virgin PC.

When I double clicked the installer, and got the error. Then I realized it was still inside the compressed folder. After extracting all the files into a folder on my desktop, (which it probably says to do somewhere), I tried the installer again. It worked perfectly.

The weather icons worked in the weather screens also, as well as the tabs on top for switching between West Palm and NJ. Always curious to see how John is enjoying nice sunny weather whilst I am freezing my *** off in NJ, and now that's just a click away.

So, maybe the VBS error comes from trying to install in the zip folder? Just a guess, but it worked for me. Hope it helps.

Any chance to get an OBDII skin? or whats the best thing for me to do for that? I'm using OBDdiag http://www.obd-diag.de/

Yes the error came because the file was zipped. when you attempted to run the installer while it was zipped, it temporarily unzipped that file but not the other files that the installer was referencing. It is always best policy to unzip anything before you run it or look at it.

will this still work within the skin , because i can not use ig 3 won't let me have the uk maps, or is there any changes i need to do to the skin to make it compatable

Is that going to be the last word on this problem? I am using iG 3.01 because of its ability to work very reliably with Bluetooth devices to channel audio directions into my car radio. What are the plans, if any, for RR and/or DigitalFX to support iGuidance 3.01?

Damn...doesnt it always work like this...first its Phonecontrol and my phone...now I finally buy a GPS receiver and iG3.0 (its in the mail now to me) only to find out 3.1 wont work with this awesome skin....can I stay at 3.0 or will it force me to update to 3.1? What does 3.1 add that I would want? I might just stay at 3.0 for this.

A GPS receiver doesn't care what GPS software you're using. Whatever you get should work fine with 3.0. I haven't upgraded to 3.1 and don't know what it adds, but 3.0 is more than adequate.

If you do the coordinates hack to IG3.0 it will work correctly. If you do the same thing to IG3.1, there are no buttons to manually input coordinates, but it will still work for the gas finder.

Other buttons that they added to 3.1 under "settings" menu:
gps com port
gps Baud rate

They also change the color change on all the buttons so it changes color when you press it.
Font change on all the buttons also.

I dont understand what your question is. Is it will IG 2 work?
