You called me Thursday evening, I posted the files late that night, just like I said I would on the phone. I just logged in, and sure enough the files are there. Look at the time stamp on the files if you don't believe me

You can download the Logo HERE. Just drop the logo in your Logos folder int he DigitalFX skin, and it will show up in the list.

I have not done an update on the BM version of the skin yet, but that is my next priority.

Make sure you have your settings in RRConfig like the following picture:


Also download the iGuidance patch from johnwpb.com. That is a reshacked version of iGuidanc not only for looks, but some functionality. Some of the internal windows of iGuidance do not have a window name, and they have been added in. This allows the scripts to get a "handle" on iG's menu's, and adds the ability to tranverse the menu's with the scripts.

Also make sure you are running the latest RR linked to in the first post in this thread. To have RR close iG (Or any other embeded Application) you need to Open the RRCOnfig utility, and checkmark the "Close embed aplications on exit" option.

AH ha you are right. i told you to upload them to a different folder a special folder only you have access to so no one else could get it. checking the main public folder i found it. thanks a bunch, my bad.

Also what does the new version of the iG resh hack do? i have the one from waay back when with BD what does this new version do the one from march 6th do/add? thanks

There really isnt much different in the iGuidance patch, I just put it there instead of the old hosting location. I did fix a couple of buttons, and text on some of the screens, I found a couple of yellow arrow's here and there I missed skinning, so its worth getting the new one.


Ok, Now I have a question:

How many times have you looked up an address, location, pizza joint or whatever on Google maps, then printed or wrote down the address, got to the car, and had to go through all the iG screens to put the information into iGuidance in the car manually.

Not very efficient for sure.

I am working on a program that will make this much easier! It will allow you to paste the URL from the address bar on the google maps page into a small application, and click save. Once it's in the car, there will be a new button on the iGuidance screen, that with a single press, will take that info and feed it into iGuidance for you.

For those with a wireless connection in the car that use Google Maps to look up stuff, paste the URL from the google map page into the app, and there will be a "Send to iGuidance" button, to take that info and pass it directly into iGuidance.

In my case, I will use a thumb drive. Running the app will save the info needed to the thumb drive. Take the thumb drive to the car and plug it in. ( Using an autorun.inf that will auto put the info into the correct place on the car PC when plugged in.) on the iG screen/skin, click the new button to send the info to iG.

When the data is sent to iGuidance, iGuidance will ask if you want to save it, navigate to it, or just Map it.

Once the data is on the desktop, you can get the info to the CarPC any way you choose actually, have a sync folder, email it, use the thumb drive or whatever.
