    Turbocad,
I had that exact same problem (with the stripe down the middle of the screen) occur for me upon directly installing 2.1. I simply went back and installed 2.0 & then 2.1 in case something was missed in the new installer. That seemed to do the trick. Now It actually shows the new skin nicely, but it freezes upon pressing the menu button the 1st time. So I am still looking into that. The flash clock seems to be working fine though. It looks like a moon circling the planet or something right?

    John,

Top skin, ive finally got it all working and up and running.

I have a couple of questions which differ from those others in the forum that may be problems or may just be my setup.

1, my phonecontrol works....reads the phone and works with my widcomm bluetooth dongle as it should. (GREAT!) however it can only see the text messages i have received, you cant view the message itself, or get the voice message button to play them? anything im doing wrong? In phonecontrol standalone the messages can be viewed no problem at all???

2, with the 2.x update the mph/kph guage on the guages shows up as white when I change the background to one of your preloaded backgrounds? any way around this?

3, in the settings tab there is an option for bluetooth settings which embeds the bluetooth properties.....is there anyway this can be changed to embed the "my bluetooth places" window instead so that you can enable the bluetooth com links as mine dont start automatically on boot?

Just some suggestions...it might be my system...hope to have some answers or to have helped in the development.

    Cheers

    New Version Released

Wow! Its nice to see that everyone's flash problems are going away! In the latest release, The skin add's a DigitalFX folder to the start menu. In that folder are the uninstaller (Will just uninstall the skin, not RR, not the updated weather icons and such). Also in the start menu folder is a file called "Fix Flash Problems". This simply manually copied a non flash version of the menu skin's to use, outside of Road Runner. If you are having lock-up, slow response, give that a try.

The Installer will automatically open a text file at the end of the install, containing the lines and instructions to add to the rr.ini to make the skin work correctly.

I also, after many requests, added a Traffic plugin skin. Let me know how that works out for you. (From the main menu click utilities to find it).

Now, the XM art! That was time consuming pain in the ***! The images were all in a PDF document, and had to all be saved out as jpg's then individually had to have the background removed from them to make them transparent. I was very happy with the results, as the old XM are was just horrible looking!

Here is a snap of the traffic screen:

and a collage comparing the old XM art to the new graphics:

I do not use Phone Control, so some of the screens may not be 100% as I could not test them here, sorry.

As for the white box, that sounds, again, like another flash problem. Do a search on the forum for "White Box" and you will find LOTS of posts pertaining to it.

I will see what I can do do add "My Bluetooth Places"

I had the old skins working fine, then i upgraded to the transparent version, now everytime i click on the Menu to goto second menu from main menu, it freezez up. Takes a while the second menu shows up sometimes, but then non of the buttons actually do anything??
Any idea what could've caused this?

I also meant to say that that file is in the release from about a half hour ago. Download and install that. There is NO flash by default when the skin is installed. If you have no flash issues on your system, you can pick one of the 3D logo's, clocks ect from within the skin.

IF you pick a flash clock or logo, and the skin becomes unresponsive:

Close Road Runner, and go to the Start Menu/Digital FX folder, and click "Fix Flash Problems". Restart RR and you should be back in business.

Since the beginning of the iGuidance code being built into RR to embed it, there has been one issue that I have now and then. When going to the iGuidance screen, from the main menu, iGuidance is not visible. Pressing any button such as 3D, N (For North) brings it back into view.

I added some code to the button that calls up the GPS screen to get focus of iGuidance, and that seems to have fixed the problem!

Has anyone else experienced this? It seems to be on a "Per Machine" basis, as my CarPc had no problems, but my Desktop does have the problem. I know some people think of it as just an annoyance, and deal with it
