Helluva lot better than iG3

No better than most other programs, I just happened to have a "copy" laying around so I use it. MS Streets probably has as good of a DB.

There's a project somewhere on this forum to import POI's from the Lexus system CD as it has the most one of the most complete POI databases known to cars - or to me at least

It has not gotten very far though, as iG's data files are weird and no one seems to have figured out how to import items into it.

Sucks - iG is the best touchscreen/car friendly mapping software I have ever seen or used.

Does your guys' GPS Weather work? When I press it I get nothing. But the other weather locations work. I have my GPS split to the Skin and to IG. Any ideas?

Yes, I have that every now and then. Would like to imbed/open it in a window of FX. Have you tried that? Know the window name?

On a very similar note (I suspect it's the same problem source), on my GPS Stats screen, it's not displaying the city,state,zip?

I've only occassionally had trouble with XPort when setting it up. Once setup and working it has been flawless. I have it in my startup folder so it's always working and I have no problems. Accordingly, I've found no need to embed it.

My experience is the same as yours.

Well, I know that the skin is getting the info because the gauges work and the compass works. I wasn't for sure if it got the location info from IG or just from the GPS direct.

OK, on XPort I have input at Com3, Output Com 2 and Com 6. Run IG as alone, set port to Com 2, works fine.
RRConfig, set port to Com 6, compass works fine.
For some reason IG inside of RR won't work. IG works fine outside of RR.
