Its a different version m8 to what your running, and are you sure you havent set them to come on by default in the settings ?

The track number expand will be a option as ccsnet has already noticed it on a early version he was playing with and its on 'his' list of stuff I need to do.. it only needs 1 line of code..

ok, two reasons for the alpha release.. 1 to get some feedback on what I've done so far.. and the 2nd one it to request for help, on things like, new icons.. what sounds to put on which buttons, ideas, options, etc.. etc.. also the settings menu (tap the clock) is completely dynamic, and pulls all its info from the options.txt file which needs finishing off, again help wanted for this. Things like the gps skins, for iguidance etc need doing which I cant do because I dont have it. I also want car logos / icons / badges / backgrounds doing.. I want the end user to be able to pick there car badge (logo) from a simple menu, the same with the background.. So to that someone who mentioned the icons.. since you dont like em, then I have a job for you... FIND ME SOME NEW ONES :-) .. all the icons are changable and are stored in the icons folder.. png files they are, when you have a nice collection then let me have em and I will include them in the final release.. :-) .. I've only added 1 vis so far.. tap the logo (top right) on the audio screen, but it might not position right as the skin is running expanded at 800 x 600.. I'm unsure if rr resize's the A01 lines right, need to talk to guino about that

I've just tweaked the external_gps skin for my iGuidance. The only line I modified was the one below to use some more of the available space. I made it overwrite the line that shows the date. I only have a 640x480 screen.

A01,5,77,788,327,000,000,000

and comment out the clip line if you're using ignative.

nice.. :-) fixed the up/down bug on the audio, and started to add cpu performance things, like remove the fade in on load of the skin, remove track number, remove FU zoom at the start.. bit like running vista without aero :-) lol

will have something for you same time tomorrow I hope

Hey CdR let me start off by saying this is a really great skin!!! One of the best so far! Is the GPS set up? I cant get my external gps to work. when i press the button it is like null....

the gps isnt really done at the moment, BUT if you look back a few posts you will see if you edit the menu.txt you can get it going. I have edited the external_gps.skin ready, just not asigned the button right as I've been messing about with rrearth (google plugin)

I will be doing somemore on it today as I should have a couple of hours free

Ok after testing a little big this are my findings:

-Video doest fill the full square any any of the modes (full, 16:9 etc)
-If I hit status it show just an piece of the skin (see pic)only way to go back is hiting the clock area, go to settings and then hit the "X" (may be this is happening cus I dont have MB monitor or speed fan install yet?)
-Buttons like refresh, 5 day in weather or new in web should have a down feeling (maybe some color just like any other button)

Edit:

Also can there be an option to take the battery status out? (don't know about the other two, mabe wifi and gps sats?) for those peaple that don't use the cell part of the skin.

Hi fella, please remember this is a very very alpha version, many screens are missing (check post 1 to see whats done) things like the status screen I havent even touched yet as I'm unsure what I will be using. The Video suffers from the A01 line not resizing bug(RR bug) If you return is to its true skin size (800x480) in the general.ini you will see its all correct, this seems to effect the video and also the vis but not the apps.. I havent informed guino yet, but if he reads this then he will know... lol I will mail him if I get chance later. I still want to do a little bit more work on the weather skin yet, add down action on buttons etc.. maybe add more measurments.. it just takes so long to create a skin these days.. I'm looking at over 70 hours on this so far.. Thats at least $1000 worth of work :-)

I'll make sure to paypal you some money so we can all add a little and that way cover some of those long hours (please don't take wrong)

Like I say before I'm praying that it run in my machine cus I want to install it in my GF car (the one with the VIA)... going to test tomorrow morning.
