Another thing I spotted in the audio browser. It's only a slight irritation. My audio is laid out as artist\album\*.mp3. Root level shows me all the artists, then I press on artist name for the albums, then press and hold to load the correct album. However, if I press for too long on the artist name, it loads into the audio player showing the folder names within the artist directory. There are no mp3 files there so obviously nothing plays.

Could you make it so "press & hold to load" only works if there are mp3 files in the directory that you're trying to load, otherwise it works as "press only".

i was blind by the Freedom skin, he works fine with the old installation.


i ask you, in post #241, what happend with the web.skin and his form of buttons.
the reason is the streching from 480 to 600 pics. this screen is a complete screen and i think the stretching works not so well.
in most other screens you have a separate top and bottom line and some times a windows in the mid. here are no pixel faults if you stretch the screen.

is it possible to make a separate bottom line for the web.skin, too ?

Hi the fault your having with the directorys is not down to my skin but a fault within RR and how its defining its path variables. The webbrowser screen is done like it is to have the maximum space for the actual webpage. The audio buttons are there you just need to press the bottom left button and they will come sliding in. I would of thought the screen space would be used more on a webpage than on audio buttons which you would only use a couple of time.. thats why I just made them slide in. If your having a problem with the resize then can you take a screenshot, as if you havent installed flash right it wont expand right.

Hi, I have no control over whats in the directory so its impossible for me to do what your asking through rr (doesnt load a empty directory).. what I can add it a timer so you can alter the length you need to hold it for.. but you should just be tapping and not pressing really. I havent had a problem with this at all and I put my music the same way you do.

Right, the albumart is almost finished, I want to add a search function yet a abc , def type.. but that can wait. The internet radio is going to be a pain as it will need alot of coding to make it nice and easy to use.. I will need to suss out saving the winamp playlist before swapping over to the i-radio, then swap it back when the audio button is pressed in the menu.. also swapping the trackname over to i-radio at the same time rather than it displaying the http:// address like it does at the moment. I have worked out how I'm going to do it, but its just being arsed to code it.. lol

k... just got back from another nice 15hr trip... a couple of things I found out so far...

first of all, didn't acutally find the file/playlist button until late today, or found might be the wrong term, more realized it was there...
in playlist mode if I hit load I get to the file mode again... wouldn't it be nice if it loaded the "playlist" folder set up in the config instead...

another thing that might be with the beta RR but I dunno is that it randomly resets the RR config file... nothing works until I fill in all the info again like, winamp path, music path and so on...

a wish from my side at last... I got real bored today and couldn't decide about what music I wanted to hear... would it be hard to but in some kind of "suprise me" or "I feel lucky" button that adds some random numer of mp3's from the music folder to a temp playlist...???

other than that it's a damned nice skin... looking forward to the next version...

never managed to load that other exe btw... couldn't figure out what all the part in the menu.txt file was on the "exe" buttons... I'll just wait until the "app" part is done!

Hi m8, the playlist button switches back when you press the load button because I think you would want to load the playlist rather than editing it.. You will need to add a playlistpath= into rr.ini and also add .pls into mediatype in the music section in rrconfig, so you can see them in the folder list... unsure on your resetting of your rr.ini file, but the only reason for the beta rr was so I could use the reloadrr command on first set up, so once you have set up you can go back to the other one.

Done some coding on the I-Radio, got it to change channel, display artwork .. it now shows the selected radio name in the tracktitle.. so its halfway there now..

Hey Cdr, it won't be better some kind of broadcast antenna logo instead of the little radio? (like the one in shoutcast logo for example)
