    n00b - what is a clip?

i've read through the tutorials and done a serach but i cannot find out what is, and how to add a clip.

I am trying to embed navigator 7 into the GPS RR screen. when i select GPS it shows, but if i move away and come back it is not there. i have been advised to use a clip, but when i questioned this i got no answer.

    thanks in advance.

You need to get RRSkin Editor linked from this thread: Roadrunner Skinning Tutorial

Then open up your GPS skin and simply add a clip area, dragging it out to the correct size.

A clip area defines an area of the skin that isn't drawn.. think of you GPS skin as a sheet of paper, if you put a clip area in the middle it would be like taking some scissors and cutting everything inside the clip area out.. so you can see right through it!
