I've seen some skins with media managers that monitors the cd-rom and/or the pendrives for valid media and changes it icons.
took a look in the commands list on RR and there's no such indicator. can anyone tell me how do I implement a media manager? (couldn't find a released skin with it to snif on the code)

its nothing coded in RR. You have to custom make the script for your solution. My skin has a media manager based on an autoit script thats constantly run whenever i'm on the audio/video browser.

Take a look at this Media Manager you will get the drift...
Just rename the locations of your drives for the cd and thumb drive. It is not in HEMI-DAY yet.
