Im making my first skin

Im currently working on my first attempt at a skin for RR. I have decided to get all the graphic aspects out of the way first. This is the beginning of the manu i still have to decide on location of where the buttons will be and there overall shape. any opinions would be appreciated.

the look is beautiful
but i'd try something more edgy, not so soft and smoth bevel would make the metalic aspect more realistic

Yeah I also agree that the bevel is too soft. However, that might be the look you're going for?

So you going for flash etc?

And what ideas do you have for the labels...are you going for icons / text or both?

Personally I'd try purely icons - tasteful though..! I know there are a number of sites (particularly lunix) that offer very beautiful icons.

most likely im going to go with flash icons as soon as i refamiliarize my slef with macromedia Flash Pro.been awhile since i did anything in flash.

keep up the good work

i'd use a little less border and not SO edgy, but i like more the last edgy look. something in the middle (tending to the last) is the wya to go IMO
some better anti-aliasing on the top display would be nice too
but the central globe is just PERFECT. real art work
