2: i have a line in the skin.ini that says background=E:\Road Runner\Skins\Clean N Clear\backgrounds\Black.jpg
this is where the background gets saved when it is changed, where does the backgroundpath variable go? in rr.ini?

4: i would put a back arrow there, but that kinda defeats the "hidden" part of a hidden button

. i like to keep skins pretty clutter free, so i try to implement hidden buttons where i can, but if the general consensus is that it needs a non hidden button then one will be made.

any input appreciated

ok, i will work on putting in an exit arrow, and if i can get johnwpb's permission, i will include his clock, and maybe the clock changing code.

well, since i have begun modifying the skin to include back buttons, i figured i would add another feature. i have begun making a screen for the coverflow browser, it's a work in progress and i have yet to try it on my carpc, but i don't expect it to have any problems

be carefull
Coverflow is VERY CPU hungry. on nowadays desktops it's child stuff, but on carputers (usually slower), it's almost death.

One more touch I'd make in the skin is a better music thumbnail
the default just don't look that cool to be in you sweet skin

thanks, thats why i said i'd comment it out. i dont see it being much of an issue on my carpc tho, i have an athlon x2 3800+ and a gig of ddr2 800 ram

ok, stupid question time... how do i change the thumbnails? i agree, they don't look good in there.

Check MMI skin. Guess it have custom icons on PL. You can see the skin code for that

i like what you did with coverflow, if you want to use diferent icons for media and folders, is very easy, make your icons named "MEDIA.GIF" for audio, and "FOLDER.GIF" for folders, place them inside of your skin folder and road runner will use those icons, i'm guessing you can use gif,ico,and png extensions. heres the info pulled from the skincommands.txt good job in this skin. .

FOLDER.GIF|ICO - This is the image used on File Browsers for Listing FOLDERS/DIRECTORIES.
MEDIA.GIF|ICO - This is the image used on File Browsers for Listing FILES (Audio/Video).
GESTURES.BMP - This is the image used when drawing Gestures -- Drawn at about 40% transparency.
This image can also be a GIF file with transparency (just rename it to .BMP).
Any BLACK (RGB=0) areas in this image will be transparent when drawn.
