To get folder art to show up I *think* they have to be called "folder.jpg". I think the album art on the screen is loaded differently.

Thanks blk02si! A couple more things I'd like to fix/include (eventually... I just wanna get this in my car!):

- fix the menu buttons to say "GPS" and "MIXER"
- add enable/disable EQ in the mixer
- redo the mixer page, make it more like CFX -- with presets
- add a seek (VIDEOPOS) bar in video player

Let me know if you find any weird bugs or whatever. My proofing skills suffer greatly after 2am.

Just tried that, and unfortunately no joy.

For example:

E:\Music\R Kelly\Double Up\track1.mp3

I placed a copy of the folder art renamed folder.jpg in both the "R Kelly" folder, and the "double up" folder (alongside the music tracks, and the album art that shows up fine) and neither worked. If you can find out how I can do this like yours I'd really appreciate it.

Also, could you let me know how you got your skin to display the time in HH:MM format? I'm getting HH:MM:SS which is slightly unreadable as it takes up too much room!

Can't help with your album art problem (most of mine are embeded) but the time can be easily changed in RRConfig..

(yeah, this is the old RRConfig but there should be a similar setting in the new one)

The video slider code is included in v4.

I just downloaded, going ot try it on the way home form school in the car, the ultimate test.

I'll look into the browse album art when I get home. I can't remember right now.

And yeah what treetop777 said. I changed my date format too (MM / DD I think). Seconds and years don't matter.

Simplicity is key.

Figures that the video slider would be in v4, I guess I didn't look into it that much. See why I called it v3.5?

Hope it works out well. I have to reimage my CF cuz it's being a crap to me (ewf won't disable!). I'll update it tonight with my skin if I'm lucky.

That's impressive Crooper - thanks for sharing. All this time i was overthinking the shuffle indicator - yours does the job! This is really the V3 on steroids!

How do you activate the vis?

I wonder why you prefer the CFX exit menu!

Well I tried croopers version on the way home and its def a supercharged v3. I am going to stick with v4 though since its suits my system better but you have givin me some good ideas crooper!

I am still developing the skin more, really want to get SAT going and that menu finished and the global color definitions finished.

Treetop, I implemented your code with the picviewer and it works fantastic, thx for posting

Thanks for the kudos. I know my skin won't suit everyone (especially if you have Sat radio or iGuidance). But feel free to pick and choose my code to enhance or inspire your skins.

Yeah the shuffle indicator was pretty simple once I figured it out. The search for song using the OSK is very simple, it's a single command "SEARCHLIST" you attach to a button. RR takes care of everything else. The command "SEARCHFILES" is for use in the audio or video browser.

The vis is activated by clicking on the <- -> button in the main menu. But I believe you have to have Sexy Attached Analyzer vis selected in Winamp. I included my vis_satan.ini file in addition to the dll so the vis would show up in the window correctly (hopefully). This was the first time I've added visualization to a skin, so it took me a while to figure it out.

Regarding the exit menu, I've been using CFX for a long time, I guess I'm just used to it.

With regard to the album art, I can put any jpg file (with any name) in a directory and it'll show up as album art for both the audio file browser and player art. So I dunno how to fix the problems you're having, C4DAO. Remember that the individual files show up as mp3 icons, you only get art for the folders.
