Wow.....Nice skin! I'm toying with the settings on my PC & once everything's ok, I'll be using it in my car tomorrow
Can I request for a Toyota Speedo (km/h) instead?
Cheers!

CarPC specs are BACK!! Edit yours today...
thanks for your request.
i thought this will be one of the closed threads... a hundreds of views without any critic... wishes... .
i try the application in my car, its a 2,66Ghz with 521MB RAM. as i only open the coverflow screen, roadrunner need 100% of CPU speed, nothing else works.
thats not what i want, so i will make a second possibility for selecting by ALBUMCOVER in normal way.
or did i forget any selection.
GF-ler,
Thanks for the skin... It looks really nice. However, I am having problem getting a background to show. I have read the "how to install" file. This led me to look at the exectbl file, the general.ini (skin version), the skin.ini file (which has a background path pointing to a folder from your *old* path name -- ie: not iphone or night apple). Changing all these paths to my background path didn't fix the problem. Could I bother you for a clue of what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
Nasa
hi,
iam sorry, but something goes wrong between my install and the package NIGHT APPLE.
FIRST:
normaly its not important what name of skin you use.
only in a phase of playing with the COVERFLOW application i use the realnames of disk, path and folder. the original was C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\RX8_Trans
WHATS TO DO ?
in my rr.ini is written:
[Skins]
skinpath=C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\Freedom 2.1\
transition=-1
backgroundpath=C:\Program Files\Road Runner
a skinpath you selected too, but did you wrote anything under backgroundpath ?
if not, write it directly under [skins] see below.
backgroundpath=C:\Program Files\Road Runner..... IF YOUR INSTALL IS DIFFERENT, TAKE YOUR INSTALLPATH.
that means, for every skin the backgroundscreens are in folder BACKGROUNDS in path ROAD RUNNER.
some guys fixed the backgroundscreens inside her skinpath. so you have in any skinpath a BACKGROUNDS folder... thanks for discspace killing.
this is the way i copy the files inside the package, but forget to give a copy of the rr.ini.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
next step,
in BACKGROUND.skin file please exchange the followed line
/SD,00,00,180,180,"$backgroundpath$","*.jpg",,,,,,, ,
SD,00,00,50,50,"$backgroundpath$\Backgrounds","*.j pg",0,,,,,,,
that means, roadie looks under (whats written in variable $Backgroundpath$\folder Backgrounds.
in your BACKGROUND.skin is written: SD,00,00,50,50,"$skinpath$Backgrounds","*.jpg",0,, ,,,,,.
nice skin, i love it. Can't wait for the final version!
Thanks GF-ler,
your suggestions fixed the problem. The only other thing I have noticed is that IGuidance (4.0) doesn't start when I open the nav screen. I have it working in other skins... Otherwise, this is a fantasitic work of art!!!!
Nasa
i found the reason for the wrong installhelp file. you have the file of the simplistique skin.
whats about the coverflow application ? did you like it ? and how fast is your pc if it works. try it, before you convert all your musicpaths into needed COVERFLOW GENRE- format.
i make a new audio browser skin for NORMAL cover selection. with the coverflow MY pc stand still, nothing..njente..
with the IG4 i cant help, you know OLD-EUROPE should be no market for US factorys.
at the moment i complete the day version of this skin, think saturday i give the link.
regards
