Just finished integrating your media launch code and I am amazed how simple, efficient and good your script works. RR is now automated! I also really like how new buttons appear on the main menus.(screenshot posted) I am going to be tweaking it more but one question, does your script makes its decision on what type of media resource is offered by the windows defined associations if your using a flash drive?
Thanks. I still get a rare instance if I close RR the script will error out...not hurting anything just irritating. With any type of drive (usb/cd/dvd) it searches for the extensions listed in rr.ini (video files and audio files) and makes the decision.

I actually came to the board for something else....Those cool scrolling lists things. I did a quick mod using the ones from VOID 3 and put them on your skin....attached. Just an example as I spend 2 minutes doing this.

For some reason I missed that but was delighted when i toggled the setting to true!

Either way nice job on the feature.

Could be because I'm still running the April RR release on my actual carPC. I am going to be updating to the newest version of RR in the auto very soon though. I have had 0 problems since installing and configuring the April release and have learned don't fix it if its not broken when it comes to embedded setups

My desktop is a different story though, I have all the latest and greatest RR goods there.

Those iLists look awesome although I'm afraid my via won't like them much. Neat effects but I actually prefer the standard directory list browsing with a slider and transparency's.

My M10K is handling the list okay, I suppose. Definitely doesn't like large lists as it takes forever to scroll, but I'm not one to keep one huge playlist anyway (349 songs max) using ID3 tags.

Ok finally got some time to start doing some more planning/coding.

I've been won over by the new transparent iLists and am working on adding them to all menus with lists. They really are awesome once you start using them. Thx Guino for the super fast turn around on making them transparent!

I would like to add a feature to disable the iList in the skin just in case you want to load a huge library or for whatever reason don't have directx available. Not sure how much coding would be involved with this so it may not materialize.

I also started designing some fresh art, would like to give the bottom button icon a little polishing.

    EDIT:

OK iLists are done for Audio Player, Audio Browser and skin browser. Thats all for tonight need to get some sleep.

Does anyone know if there is an anti aliasing mode for the font rendering whilst using iList feature?

Been working on updating the code more. I love the iList but the fonts are not rendered the same as the standard lists. Quality is a but down but no worries functionality is very up. I am considering an all icon version of shock skin. Same code base but an all icon GUI. Here is what I've got so far. Its based on an icon library from linux.

Looks good, although I would say if your going with Icons I would try and keep to a similar colour set so they dont look like they have been chucked on top of the skin. Not overly fussed on the green arrows, but i like the other art.

With chevyn8's help I have also recently implemented an iList into Shock - Version 3.5 ("croopers" version of Shock V4), and it works really well - This was my first attempt at RR Skin moddifying and it was relatively painless.

Can I ask...have you managed to find a way for Shock to display the background selector skin correctly? All previous versions I've tried won't find my background folder, despite me defining backgroundpath etc.

    Keep up the good work!

I like the all icon idea if it will still be easy to change the buttons via settings.txt. I have embedded Opera for a browser in Shock V5 (fit to width is a very nice feature on small screens), I'm also working on an improved 'checkonline' that doesn't use ping. The Opera setup extracts the bookmarks and puts them in a custom list...
    http://n8sgarage.com/roadrunner/opera/
    extract opera.zip to Road Runner/opera/
extract operaskin.zip to the Shock V5 skin folder
    Settings command:
    LOAD;wbrowsero.skin;Opera;C:\Program Files\Opera\Opera.exe;!OpWindow!Opera
For scrolling I use scroller.js in Opera(like ilist without the 'flick').

    Hey Chevyn8,

Thanks for the PM earlier regarding your code...tried it just now and got it to work, although I couldn't get Wifi Hopper to work. For testing sake I tried assigning "N/A" in Shock V5 (button 8) to your launch the wifi skin, but nothing happens.

Could be useful in the future, but I'll be sticking to V3.5 for the moment. Thanks for all your help via PM though!
