    fadeimages=true doesn't seem to work on non-standard skins displaying images

    I have the following line in several non-standard image viewing skins:
    Code:
    J01,155,211,138,148,"FILE;$logopath$$imgfilename$:A"

    .
    It does display the appropriate image correctly, but does not have fading effect that's found on the audio_browser, audio_player, & picviewer skins.

    Is there anything I can do to enable that effect?

    if thats just one image, what is it supposed to fade from or to? Does that path to the file ever change or get updated?

    I didnt know u could even use the J line for a custom image file, ive allways used the IMG tag.

    Not just for one image. It's for my icon preview skin (part of the customizeable utilities menu for my skin) that has a functionality similar to the picviewer.skin.

    Here's a portion of the skin code:
    Code:
    /,INC,File
    INC,FONTCOLORDEFINITIONS.txt
    INC,FONTSYTLEDEFINITIONS.txt
    INC,STANDARDCMDS.skin
    INC,STANDARDCMDS2.skin
    INC,THEME_ARTBOX.skin
    INC,THEME_DLSLIDER.skin
    INC,THEME_RLIND.skin
    INC,ILIST_DL_EXT.skin

    /, SD, Alignment;Alignment, Disp;MODE, Icon Width, Icon Heigth, Path
    SD,0,3,0,0,"$iconspath$","*.jpg;*.png;*.gif;*.bmp",TRUE

    /, B, x, y, w, h, Command;COMMANDCODES, Tooltip
    B09,600,121,113,50,"PGUP||SETVARBYCODE;imgfilename;LISTTEXT",
    B10,600,171,113,50,"UP||SETVARBYCODE;imgfilename;LISTTEXT",
    B13,600,372,114,50,"DOWN||SETVARBYCODE;imgfilename;LISTTEXT",
    B14,600,422,114,50,"PGDOWN||SETVARBYCODE;imgfilename;LISTTEXT",
    B14,444,500,88,50,"UTILICONUPLOAD||SETVARBYCODE;imgfilepath;DLPATH||SETVARBYCODE;imgfilename;LISTTEXT",

    /, S, x, y, w, h, fore R;RGB, G, B,  back R;RGB, G, B,  folder R;RGB, G, B,  file R;RGB, G, B, selected R;RGB, G, B, select R;RGB, G, B, trs, font pt;FONT, font name
    S01,310,135,286,326,#FORER#,#FOREG#,#FOREB#,#DUMMYR#,#DUMMYG#,#DUMMYB#,#FOLDERR#,#FOLDERG#,#FOLDERB#,#FILER#,#FILEG#,#FILEB#,#SELECTEDFORER#,#SELECTEDFOREG#,#SELECTEDFOREB#,#SELECTEDFONTR#,#SELECTEDFONTG#,#SELECTEDFONTB#,true,#LISTSIZE01#,#LISTFONT01#

    /, J, x, y, w, h
    J01,155,211,138,148,"FILE;$iconspath$$imgfilename$:A"
    You can also use the "I" code for displaying a dynamic image file using the same format above.

    J is a shortcut to an indicator, but depending on the skin it may not work with the parameter provided -- I suggest always using "I" with the parameter. (J only exists for MC compatibility). The fade effect is only set to display for coverart, albumart and picture indicators.. I'd have to create something else to make custom indicators fade.

    I tried both. I resort to "J" thinking that it might do the trick since the coverart/album art used "J."

    I have since changed it back to "I."

    Thanks g.
