Have you ever thought about making the (ilist) select bar transparent and just have the selected song a different color? I may have to try it and see how it look.

Couple things: the volume progress bar don't seem right there.
Also, the shuffle and repeat indicators aren't showing even when i click 'em.
She don't start with the burgundy BG, but hitting that hidden button makes the text show-up so it's easy to navigate to the BG settings - Nice.
The full screen IG button overlay seam to crash with the rest of the skin; i would have preferred buttons similar to the skin - of course, that's my personal taste.

As usual, she's still responsive and lighning quick. Let me go load her up in the truck and give her a workout.

I was thinking the volume slider would look better under the shuffle/repeat indicators.
The indicators are included in the new version of the WEBDINGS 3 font. You might have to delete (uninstall) the old font and install the new one for it to work.
I kinda rushed putting the "fixed" version of 1.04 out, so by tonight or tomorrow, those who download the skin will have it start with a burgundy background.
The IG overlay will look a lot better when elcamino finishes the overlay plugin.
I've kept the audio control buttons on the left since EVERY skin has buttons on the left, so to keep it consistent, that's where they ended up.

Anything else? hows the new mute indicator working out?

The mute is working perfectly; it's neat how it changes.

so far, mine looks good... i see indicators and they work.. but i have gps problem.. it doesn't crash my system, however, i just don't see ig on top.. I know it's running......

It just shows skin with buttons without labels and ig buttons on top of it...

well i take it back.. r/s indicator doesn't show up... i thouht i was running the new ver.. but i must have extracted older one... :) Just tried the new one, and it's what treeptop said....

If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what is going on with it.

as far as the indicators are concerned... download version 1.041 (on first post) and it will (should) be fixed. For no apparent reason, the font creator I have saved those characters under a different letter code. Just delete the old font from your fonts folder and copy over the one included in this release.

working on the gpsoverlay, elcamino posted an alpha that has the label support, but it isn't quite working, here's the overlay with labels coded into the .png that matches the skin a lot better:

Once labels are fully supported, I will release a new version. I'm highly considering moving the volume slider to underneath the shuffle and repeat indicators rather than under the time. Anyone have a better place for the volume slider?

I just noticed that I did the buttons at 50% transparency rather than the 66% that the rest of the skin is at. This really only matters when I upload the next version, as long as the new overlay plug-in works, then the next release will be coming out tonight. Maybe this is the reason manny is torturing us with his skin; he doesn't want to release it and have a million updates right after it's out.
Oh, and I may have a reshacked iguidanceumpc.exe soon, but it would only be for ig3, since I don't have the cash to get 4 just yet.

Humm.. if you time it to disappear after a certain amount of time we would end-up with FS automatically..but..how would one get the overlay back when needed ??

I was thinking of setting up some automatic full screen for this. Basically, I would set a timer in the external_gps.skin that after a certain amount of time, the skin would switch to the full screen, and load the overlay buttons. After another set amount of time, the overlay would close out, and there would be a small button in a second overlay on the top left that re-opened the first overlay. It would be a little complex on the back end of it, but to the end user, it would appear as if it's all happening by magic.

I've got the theory sort of worked out in my unreleased "Whiteroom" Skin, so it shouldn't be that hard to translate over to this skin.

I think this looks a lot better, and honestly, I don't know why I didn't design it like that in the first place. What was I thinking trying to get the overlay buttons to match with the IG menu???

I have a different version of the overlay I was going to try when the overlay labels worked that showed the current track and everything, so it will look a little bit different than the screen shot above. I'll post some teasers later when I get home.

While I wait for the weather fix in the official release, I've been working on making the weather skins a little better. Now, from the weather detail screen, you can press on any of the next few days to see the details for just that day. I've also made some of the images for the weather load dynamically rather than being coded into the skin.

I'm considering having a RRConfig Subskin. It would load like a normal skin, but allow EVERY change available from RRConfig.exe in a touchscreen friendly interface. It may not be worth the effort in the end, but because it would be like a different skin altogether, rather than a part of mAv1c, it would have it's own development thread. Look for that soon.

El Camino is taking a break from the overlay plugin, so the non-label version is included for the GPS, and it auto loads full screen after 10 seconds (can be changed if you open the external_gps.skin and after the TMR, type in any number of seconds you'd wish it to wait to load the full screen version with the overlay.)

While we wait for the weather to be fixed in the official release of RR, the weather button now directs to the Unavailable screen. **note - if you have downloaded johnwpb's patch for weather, solid style sliders will not show and other noted issues will occur. The 1.042 version is designed for the (un)official release of RR based on the 12/06/07 version.

I'm also waiting on Sonicxtasy's RRmail plugin before I enable that or my wlmail skins.

For now, these plugins are really luxury items, and the info can be found elsewhere if needed.
