its your background path, check rr.ini,and the skin.ini make sure they are pointing at the backgrounds folder, this will be my 1st start.

damn... I new about rr.ini editing but didn''t know about skin.ini.
Editing skin.ini helped. Thanks a lot!

You need to open the file called "RR.INI" and look for a line "background=" and change it to be "backgroundpath=". this should point to the directory where all of your background images are located ...

If you are using a default RR install, this would be (for TEK2)
c:\program files\roadrunner\skins\teknik2\backgrounds\

I'm getting this (image below) and when I wave the mouse over the screen, images appear.

change the line that is

background=To set path, Click --->

to be this line

backgroundpath=c:\program files\roadrunner\skins\teknik2\backgrounds\

and then you need to find the file called "skin.ini" which is in the "Teknik2" folder. In there there should be a line that says ..
BACKGROUND=C:\Program Files\RoadRunner\Skins\Teknik2.2\Backgrounds\\Vista1.jpg

This will then have a background image set for TEK skin ... and then you'll be able to change the background from Config -> skin Settings -> backgrounds inside the skin.

If you want to add new background images, save them to the folder c:\program files\roadrunner\skins\teknik2\backgrounds

Images should be 800x600 or better quality.

Cool, got it, with some changes:

backgroundpath=c:\program files\road runner\skins\teknik2\backgrounds\

(added the space between Road Runner. Like road<space>runner.

And:
BACKGROUND=C:\Program Files\Road Runner\skins\Teknik2\Backgrounds\Vista.jpg

Is it possible to use an external GPS ?
I use Sygic Drive and it does not load in your skin.

yes indeed TEK2 will support external GPS.

Firstly, you need to configure RR to use the GPS menu.
Once you've done that, you will need change a line in the file ExecTBL.ini as follows ..

"GPSDEST","LOAD;Destinator.skin;Sat Nav;c:\car\destinator\destinator.exe;Destinator"

change the "c:\car\destinator\destinator.exe" to be the path of your GPS program and then change the ";Destinator" be be the window name of your GPS program window - leave in the ";".

you will also need to change the file "Destinator.skin" line that reads ..
A01,0,60,800,540,000,"Destinator"

and change "Destinator" to be the name of your GPS program window.

Now after all this, when you press SatNav on the TEK2 menu, you should get the GPS menu. Now if you select Destinator, your GPS program should work. Pressing anywhere on the top black bar of the GPS screen will return to the TEK2 menu.
