    Help skinning... Altering image based on off/down?

    Hello,
    I'm trying to draw up a skin screen with buttons that performs a function for each button press as well as offers a confirmation for each function via an image on my right. Getting the button functions to work doesn't appear to be a problem; but the image confirmation has been. Anyone care to point me in the right direction of what I am trying to accomplish? It would be greatly appreciated.
    attached is a quick mock up in ms paint of what i am trying to do.

    All I can think of is this:

    Image location:
    IXX....."FILE:$imagepathandfilename$"

    Skin:
    TMR,1

    BXX...."<BTNCMD>||SETVAR;imagepathandfilename;<ima gepathandfilename>"

    ExecTBL.ini:
    "TIMER","SETVAR;imagepathandfilename;<blankandtras parent.png>"

    I guess that might work...

    EDIT: There are no spaces in the commands above.

    Here ya go. Use the image tag. One for each stage.
    Code:
    /, IMG, x, y, w, h, File Name, Option;IMGLAYER ((SkinIcon is a subfolder of current skin)
    IMG,15,095,60,60,"SkinIcon\audio.gif",ON
    IMG,15,095,60,60,"SkinIcon\audio.gif",OFF
    IMG,15,095,60,60,"SkinIcon\audio.gif",DOWN
    IMG,15,095,60,60,"SkinIcon\audio.gif",EMPTY

    I wasn't able to get it up and running. The farthest I got was having SETIND lighting up the respective indicators. I did not figure out a way to shut them off once the button press was complete though?
    I released what I did so far out to the community in hopes that someone with more talent in that area can complete or show me how to get that part of the screen done.

    Skin Release: BMW E36

    Thanks again for your help guys,
    even though I couldn't get what I wanted done I did get beyond dizzy at how open the architecture behind rr is and imagining its possibilites.

    There is a "TIMER" function already in RR that you can use to turn "off" your indicators via the same SETIND command.

    The biggest reason why RR is the best FE! If you can dream it...RR can do it! Well 99.99% of the time anyway...

    Sal, would you be so kind as to give me an example code/link so I can finally stop banging my head on the keyboard and grasp my hands around this part of rr?

    Just dawned on me.. How about using this(from the skin commands):
    Bxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,"PLAY",&STOP& (will execute STOP when pressing down and PLAY when letting it off)

    BXX...."<BTNCMD>||SETVAR;imagepathandfilename;<ima gepathandfilename>", &SETVAR;imagepathandfilename;<ima gepathandfilename>&

    LOL! Forgot about that feature in RR.

    In any case, I had another method in mind, but Blue's suggestion will work even better than a TIMER function.

    In any case, since you're using SETIND, your button will like this:

    BXX..."SETIND;CUSTOM_IND;OFF",&<COMMAND>||SETIND;C USTOM_IND;ON&

    Good stuff Blue.

    EDIT: No spaces in the command. I just love how this forum does that...

    wrap it in a code wrapper...

    Code:
    BXX..."SETIND;CUSTOM_IND;OFF",&<COMMAND>||SETIND;CUSTOM_IND;ON&
    How hard was that??
