I like the red border around the selected DVD button, that looks slick. As for the other choice of colors, I have to agree with others here. It looks like you used a roll of life savers for the color palette (Lemon, Lime, Orange, Grape & Cherry)Sorry, I couldn't resist!
I do think its great that you are giving the BMV2 skin an overhaul, it was released a long time ago, and certainly would be nice to see it updated.

Actually BMV2 stand for Brush Metal Version 2. Version 1 is the original work of Feb (man forgot his full username) and is for Media Car.
This doesn't look like Brush Metal to me but the design is.
