see these ms paint skins are WAY to evolved for what i want to do thou... jsut wait till imnot working on the slim
Its not that its impossible to generate art with ms paint, it more a question of why would you want to? No offense but I just don't see the reward of mastering such a limited program. I could easily throw together a skin using paint but I just see it as a waste of time considering paint has no native file extension to save your work.
Eric, I would stick to your original design posted first, as it looks nice and functional. Design it using a decent program and just uninstall paint from your system, as using ms paint to bring your idea to life is like trying to build a house from mud and straw. It's easy to do, just no one would ever want to use it.
Build Things, it keeps your brain busy.

I don't use photoshop for 2 reasons...
1. I'm not a graphic designer buy any shape or form. I'm a hardware guy.
and
2. Because I'm not spending 600+ bucks on a program just to make a skin. I can put money like that toward rent.
I use the free paint.net program to draw my proprietary toyota skins. It supports layers, .png format, and it more than works for my low artistic skills. I think alot of the photoshop fanboys take their photoshop skills for granted and don't realise not everyone draws or owns a 600+ dollar copy of photoshop, and are quick to pounce if someone doesn't use it.
I would love to see someone make a skin with the old MSpaint. I think it would be cool to see someone break the rules.

cool, or waste of time... no one would ever use anything like this in a car. i second blk02si 's view in that this is utterly pointless when photoshop is available. if you dont have photoshop cuz you cant afford it, go download GIMP. its free and does the same thing.
GIMP is for linux snobs who CANT use photoshop.
it's over complicated. yes there is GIMPShop which tries to make it more like photoshop, but it can't touch it.
If photoshop is out of your budget, I'd chose paint.net over GIMP any day. Before that though I'd get photoshop by other means.

Paint.net has definitely served me well. It definitely should have been the replacement for the old MSpaint, but then a pricetag probably would have been slapped on it by ole billy bob gates plus he would have made sure it drew 75% cpu and required 2 gigs of ram to work. So i think it's good that it is free and still managed by the university that created it.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Yeah a lot of us know about those other means but I wasn't going to mention any of them.
