Ok there not website buttons, but here is some updated less pixelated
So now, without to much criticism (fire away) what do you guys think of this image? well spaced? i know they need labels they will come, but basically volume control up top
then play in teh middle with PREV and NEXT on the sides
"LEFT WING" (that gray thing) is for multimeda
"RIGHT WING" is for apps (nav, explor, .net ect)
Looks fine, but the bevel shadows don't really match up. Your light is coming in at about 135 degrees, but the "wings" have their own light source apparently. the left one's light is coming from 0 degrees, and the right one from 180 degrees. Also it's kinda wierd that they go beyond the edge of the screen...

eyah i wanted the light to come form teh middle for the wings, it does look a little weird but i think with "information" in the middle it will look better think the light from a transparent vis will look better than if there was dark on the left with inside and light from the right wing inside
Ya, but you're not using the light with logic. If the center of the screen were a "TV screen" for the info, VIS, etc. then it would shine on the bottom of the top row of buttons. But then if you add a different type of light from the top left, it adds complexity. Look at a lot of different skins, they all use global shadows and it looks just fine.
So, if you want to have light come from the center, you'd need to change all the buttons.
Examples attached. The blue bar looks like it belongs in which image?

i knowhow the light is suppose to shine, and im playing with it, i was thinking of a way to show the wings "under" the buttons so they would have a differnt light source as if they wernt effected by the above light, kinda to much but im still playing with it
really this is suppose to be a thread to get all the ideas out, what everytime i make an improvemnet im happy with it, so a week from now i should have the lighting the waty i want it haha
i have learned not to "take the easy path" thou so thats a lesson learned
OHH and BTW if the blue bar was closer to your face or "above" the light bulb but in a room with sunlight taht blue bar would get EXATLY that effect
think 3d objects in a 3d xy axis (thats adding Z right?) where the light bulb is on the 0z line and the blue bar is at 250z
