Hi, I'm making a new skin with 4 buttons on the main menu screen (menu.skin)
These 4 buttons should start:
GPS (external NCK 5)
Radio (build in radio stuff of rr)
DVD (play a dvd)
Music (audio player)
When I return from any of these back to the menu, while they are still active in the background, I would like to show a small indicator that notifies me that the active part is still running.
So for example:
When I start RR the GPS indicator is off. If I push the GPS button, the GPS indicator is set on and the GPS app starts.
Pushing Menu in the associated GPS skin, returns to the main menu, leaving the GPS application running in background. The GPS indicator in the main menu is still on.
Only when I really quit the GPS application I would like to turn the GPS indicator back off.
The same for Music, the indicator should be on, when music is playing of paused.
The same for Radio, the indicator should be on, when radio is playing.
The same for DVD, the indicator should be on, when DVD is playing or paused.
Can this be done easily?

Easily? No. Can it be done? Yes.
Just to get you started:
1. I think you can use the "STATUS" indicator label to set your MUSIC state.
2. You'll need to use variables and "SETIND" to set your RADIO state as one does not exist natively in RR.
3. There is a plugin that detects if a process exists in the plugin section and it sets indicator states. Might want to check that out.
