I was kind of going at the car wings thing but wanted more on the main menu. So I mirrored it. Really that was the inspiration for this skin.

momentary i make a backup on a usb disk of all skins i ever drawed, this one is only in german and from the beginning of my photoshop working. so its, with a look of today, ugly.

in point of the menu screen you are right, to go from menu 1 to 2 to 3, is horrible. this was a the reason why i make a new skin with the main functions in ONE menu screen.

have a look, the idea for the menu screen was for the CAVE frontend.

@brandensin -if you like this you can use it, is concept i was working on. for a flash skin.. you can have it with the source as i'm not going to work in it any time soon.

The menu options are going to be totally configurable. Meaning there will be a settings screen that will allow you to easily change the Text and Functions of the menu buttons. I have a similar option in New Age but it is not as user freindly as this will be.

Tested this out in the car the other day and found a few things I failed to think of when developing this skin.
(1) The biggest issue is the overlay menu with the GPS screen. I had this operating using multiple commands with a button push. But since I have RR switch to gps when approaching a turn, it would switch to the GPS screen and no overlay. SO I am working this one out as I write this.
(2) Whit fonts on the buttons were a NOGO. I am going to create a color picker that will allow the user to define a specific color. But for now, black is my color of choice.
(3) My ilists are not working, dont know why, but there not. Wierd works in my new age skin but not this one. Possibly a plugin issue.
(4) RRGAS, known issue. My button labels seem to show the empty menu image behind them when you hover your mouse over them. This one is also confusing me, but wont take long to figure out.

I wasnt in such a rush for this skin, since I have a fully functional and complete skin allready (NEW AGE) but the looks of this skin in my car are spectacular and the GPS screen with the overlay is simply amazing. SO I hope to put in some good time on this in the days to come.

It will not be too big of a download but will have tons of features and capabilities.

Looks good thunderstick, nice job on the demo video also.

GPS overlay menu looks good, I love the curve style (hence carwings

)

List views are very small, my only issue with the layout, if you are going to make them so small perhaps have an additional screen where the list can be viewed larger.

Other than that keep up the good work.
