I tried out quick screen recorder, and that was fine, but I wasn't wanting to pay anything for it, so I found camstudio, which is suspiciously close to QSR, but captured AVS and elcamino's overlay where qsr didn't. Plus it's free too.

I didn't realize that WME did that, maybe I'll have to look more into it.

I was more asking because of the caption's that he was using, I can add those with my video editing program, but it seemed to be something the screen cap was capable of.

Did you embed the maps?

The screenshot looks like the standard garmin interface with the window title edited.

Its embedded in to a full screen menu, with an overlay over the title bar.

I've decided to hop on the Garmin bandwagon myself, and start hacking. An overlay is a good idea to start but, ideally I would like to reskin the Garmin app itself, of at least figure out a way to embed only the maps. Which look fantastic btw. I didn't see any map data in your preview so I decided to post a couple with some GPS hardware present. I'm using a microsoft Pharos GPS and am getting very good reception as shown in the GPS view. Overall, Garmin has probably the cleanest rendering of maps I've seen. They look literally like they are drawn in adobe illustrator. Makes the IG maps look like their drawn in paint.

Anyway someone had to get the ball rolling, thanks thunderstick. If you need any testing of the overlay let me know, I'll try it on my install.

sorry no maps yet, just using a trial and couldnt get the open source maps I found to work.

Maybe someone knows this,
When using autoit window info with GMPC, I cant seem to get anything on the controls or even window names. Anyone know of a program that is capable of getting this info?
