    Help making a Slider work

I'm using the BMV2 skin, and have begun doing some editing to it. Mainly because I noticed that there are music buttons that get covered up by my gps program, and I wanted to use them. I managed to resize the gps area, but then I found the buttons didn't do anything. I figured out how to fix that also. I took out all the places for temp(since I don't have sensors) and replaced the temp in the gps page with music status and track time, so I'm beginning to understand how it works pretty well. Now the only thing that I want to do, but can't figure out how, is to get the slider working on the gps page. It's there, it scrolls properly, what it doesn't do is respond to touch. I've tried looking at the one on the audio page, and I'm not sure which values can be copied and which are independent. Any help would be great. I'll upload a zip file of what I have now.

Thanks for giving it a shot. I'm not sure if you can tell, but here's what I did.

Basically, after sizing the gps area so these buttons would be visible I added new buttons and a slider. For the buttons, I just matched the parameters to the ones on the audio screen. I did the same for the slider, but there were so many more values that I didn't know which ones to touch. Did I do something wrong?

    Looking at your slider code

    Code:
    S01,88,539,429,40,88,539,True,40,H,01,"POINTER2.gif",12,"SONGPOS",""

it looks like you are missing two numbers for the height and width of the touch area.

    trying changing it to

    Code:
    S01,88,539,429,40,88,539,429,40,True,40,H,01,"POINTER2.gif",12,"SONGPOS",""

Enforcer, I can't seem to figure out what you mean. There aren't enough boxes for the amount of values that you've given me. Is it something I'm missing?

Sadly everyone has this problem with E. Ever wonder why his title is "Confusion Master"?

Yeah, that's what I was referring to, MGD. I'm using a RR skin editor. How would I go about doing it with notepad?

Found how to do it with notepad. Now to test it.

Your code made it worse. The slider's gone now. This is a little frustrating. I guess I can see why the skin wasn't made this way.

Edit: Tinkered some more and it WORKS!! Not sure what is different from the last time, but it's all good. Thanks for all your help. I'm wondering if should release this as a modifed skin. I can't imagine I'm the only one who would make use of these controls.

Anyway, thanks for helping a skin newbie.
