Was having the exact same problem as Bimmerstyle; the changes he made fixed it. However, it's still not quite right, it's showing bigger than 800X600

Might be conflicting with the resolution on my laptop so i'll transfer it to the truck and see what happens.

    Still fantastic work.

    Works great!!
Spent a lot of time the other night getting Sygic configured due to GMPC having no OSK, then this comes along! Great work fellas!!
Only worked for me using bimmerstyles' recommendations though. But now i cant get the long button push to work so i can choose sygic OR GMPC. Any ideas anyone please?? I have my button in my menu.skin set exactly as bimmerstyle does atm.

    @bimmerstyle and treetop777:

What version of rr? I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

This should resize GMPC to the dimensions of the skin file you copied over. If it's bigger than the skin area, try to open GMPC outside of rr, and stretch it to the smallest size it will go, then reload RR. It should resize.

I don't have a legit copy of RR, and I use 800x480, so this is hard for me to test.

@kwchan - 1024 x 600 support may come soon, I'll have to explore that some more.

    IT WORKS PERFECT

The skin (i used BMV2) has to be native 800X600 for GMPC to resize correctly, go figure!

I had the problem testing with Shock which is 800X480.

Time to go play - Thanks.

I got mine working with the latest RR and bimmerstyles' recommendations only. It did not work "out of the box" GREAT work though! I appreciate all the work very much.

In general.ini (in the skin's folder) the resolution of the files used must match the show width and height.

So, if I stretch hAv1c+ to 800x600, but use the 480 files, it will not fill the screen.

@upspace - the overlay should work will all versions after 10/26/2007, but the only thing I can think of is that your version may not be correctly named (RoadRunner.exe vs. Road Runner.exe - notice the space) I will do some more research later and get back to you.

In order for the overlay to work correctly with RR, you will need a script to display the overlay menu when the gps command is called. How I did it, is the scripts waits for RR to be running, then waits for garmin to open. Once it sees that there is a garmin window then waits a second for garmin to finish loading and then will display the menu.
the problem comes with trying to switch to GPS using one of the RR features. Like gasnav or voice control being able to use a different path other than the standard c:\garminmobilepc path. For instanct mine is installed on the E:. So in order to include this in my skin I needed a work around to allow me to open garmin with nothing more than the standard GPS command.
This mehtod works great. If you have a little coding skill you can probably figure out autoit. I have done any coding since highschool which was in QBasic, old school I know and a lot of the methods still remain true.
So see what you can figure out, or wait till my skin is released to see what the script looks like. In the original fetured OSK skin, I think all these checks were in there but that is what slowed it down so much. Now the script is nothing more than a send key and relies alot on the user for configuring everything else to work right.
