"LOAD;gmpc.skin||RUN;d:\garminmobilepc\que.exe;Gar min Mobile Pc||RUN;$SKINPATH$ElcosMenu.exe|gmpcoverlay.skin"
I use this command
JustAnotherDude - that looks awesome! but i have to ask a dumb question because im new at this....how are you driving it at that resolution when the native garmin resolution is lower (800x600 IIRC)?
i installed a pc with touchscreen film in my 2008 G35 (i think i'm the first to do this) and the resolution has been my achiles heel with the stock LCD (which i can't change at this time). i am going to upgrade to RR front end this weekend but when you run GMPC at that res (1024x600) dont you get black bars on the sides or something?
thanks!
Bob
SO, i got the OSK and back buttons... GPS is integrated into RR... sortof.
The panel for music is blank - i have no buttons to control volume or track in the top bar...
ideas?
boooo to my dumb question. i must have been confused. i've run into a different issue...when i run these skins with Garmin embedded the overlay goes full size and covers of parts of the RideRunner skin, so this really isn't suited for embedded use. i'll probably just run garmin full screen and edit this to add the song title display on the top because that's primarily what i want from RR.
hydrolocked - i would try uninstalling then re-installing using the instructions he gave, i'm really not sure what the problem is.
oh, and to anyone who is interested i too was looking for a good universal OSK so i ended up buying a copy of hot virtual keyboard. it must have been shortly before i found this forum but here are some photos of it in action. i like it because at the time i wasn't using a front end and it was useful for all my PC apps.
not trying to hijack the thread just figured some people may be interested.
Cheers
Bob

I'm not able to download it, I get redirected to a insurance site??? I'm I the only one?
I got GMPC to run correctly embeded, and the osk overlay works as well.the problem im having is that when i close GMPC (using the RR Back button) RR returns to the GMPC.skin (please wait, navigation loading) and it stays there.
Any way to make gmpc.skin to close when gmpc closes?
Also what is the reason for both the gmpc skin and the gmpcosk skin? couldnt they be combined?
i dont think you can combine those because the OSK is a separate skin that has to ride on top of your current skin which is the embedded window that GMPC is running in (as far as i know). were you to combine the two the OSK would always be active and you wouldn't be able to toggle it on or off.
im sorry i can't quite answer your first question as i haven't looked at the coding in many months now.
