Garmin RR: Overlay and OSK for GMPC Updated 11/09/08

Everything looks good as far as I can tell.

I'm sure this is right, but GMPC loads outside of RR right?

Have you tried starting GMPC, then loading RR and pressing the button that runs the "GMPC||GMPC_OVERLAY||RUNGMPC" command to see if RR grabs the window?

I might have to stew over this for a bit to figure it out.

Yeah, if I have GMPC running and minimised then RR grabs it etc and also when RR is shut down, it shuts GMPC down. Just the starting of GMPC by RR not working now.

RR isn't embedding it for some reason, can you try to change the button to this:

"GMPC||GMPC_OVERLAY||WAIT;0.5||RUNGMPC"

And see if that delay gives RR enough time to grab it?

Ok I went to Best Buy today and bought the Garmin Mobile PC... Now it had a reciever with it... I want to use the BU-353 reciever.... How is that done?
It's raining here like cats and dogs... and the Garmin reciever will not even setup.... I can't finish the install to make the garmin software run... the BU-353 is working fine....

So fill me in Please.... How do I point the Garmin app to look at the BU-353..Thanks...

Not really the right place for that question, but here's the answer anyways:

LoL no no no monkeyracer lol. I will purchase just the software for the Garmin. I did however get the plugin to work correctly.... So that's plus for me..

No I bought it and everything on the other site is true... I made a call to a friend and he got me in contact with a director at Garmin.... We had a pretty good conversion and Monday he is going to send me a copy of just the software with so I can use my GPS. I took the full kit back to Best Buy and got my money back.

So I will wait for the software to get here then I will be back on track. I really like how it looks even though I could not get very far. You all have done a great job with the overlay.. and I must be getting better at working on this app because I have the GPS running and I was able to setup the new plugin and really did not ask many questions... So Thank you. The directions were very easy to follow.
