    Adding OBD Program to DigitalFX4.0

    Hey guys...real noobie at editing skins, but I'm trying
    I want to replace one of the buttons in the DigitalFX4.0 skin to have my OBD program launch, but the problem is when I hit my OBD button, the .rar folder opens up in RR

    Here are the only enties I have made in the exectbl.ini file located in the DigitalFX folder:

    /------------------------Embed External Applications-----------------------
    "OBD","LOAD;obd.skin||RUN;C:\Program Files\RoadRunner\OBD\obd-diag.exe;OBD"

    / RR Command to execute when button is pressed
    "MyApp59","LOAD;obd.skin||RUN;C:\Program Files\RoadRunner\OBD\obd-diag.exe;OBD"

    / These are the labels for the application that will show
    / up on the screen that gives the selection of buttons to choose from
    "SetCommandLabels59","SETVAR;MyApp59LB;OBD||SetCom mandLabels60"

    I attached a screen shot of what i get when I hit the OBD button....

    just gonna take a stab at this...but when you embed a program....the last part of the command is for the title of the window...so lets say you have a winrar open and you are viewing "OBD.rar" road runner will embed the winrar window instead of the program you want...just to test what I'm telling you...open a notepad window and save it with the name OBD.txt...when you go to embed your OBD app RR will suck in your notepad window...

    long story short...close everything you have open and try launching road runner again...and i bet your program will embed properly...

    Hey you're right...now how to I get it to cover the whole RR screen instead of the top 1/8th of RR? I must have missed something for sure in the initial set-up...

    on your menu.skin, there will be an area that looks similar to this:

    A,30,45,700,300,,

    the numbers are going to be different but the A should be there....that is the area that the program will embed in...if you find it change it from what it is to say:

    A,0,0,800,530,,

    The A stands for application, the first zero is how many pixels from the left you want the app to be in, the 2nd zero is how far down from the top, the 800 is how wide, and the 530 is the height...u may need to play with the numbers a bit but it would probably be easier if you downloaded Skin Editor....it is much easier to use than notepad...
