    Directory List navagation questions

    2 questions.

    1 - Is it possible to tell road runner to goto a specific screen after double clicking a item in a music directory list, instead of going back to the main menu?

    2 - How do you tell the directly list to scroll during a page up and down button command instead of simply popping to the next page?

    Thanks

    1-Sure, place this in exectbl.ini:
    "SELECT","!SELECT||LOAD;MYSCREEN.SKIN",audio_brows er.skin

    2-I believe you want an iList instead of a regular list. You can make an iList (Smooth scroll list) by using the IL definition -- look it up in skin commands.txt. Many skins offer this by default, if you think the skin you're using has iLists, you should check that you have usedx=true in RR.INI.

    Thanks for the help

    One more question to follow up on it.

    The audio script line you suggested worked perfectly.

    With the carwings skin, when you select a video from the list, it starts playing the video directly

    However i've tried doing it to my skin, and i can't get it to do it.
    I've also tried using this line in the exectbl.ini file
    "SELECT","!SELECT||LOAD;VIDEO",video_browser.s kin
    and also
    "SELECT","!SELECT||LOAD;video_player.skin",video_b rowser.skin

    those didnt work either.
    any ideas?

    There's no way currently to select a new video to play in the video browser without immediately playing it.

    This command is likely working, however that's exactly what the select code does in video, so you should have no visible effect...
    Code:
    "SELECT","!SELECT||LOAD;video_player.skin",video_browser.skin

    The result im getting is kinda strange...

    When i double click a video in the browser, it goes to the video player screen, but then the screen goes black.

    Upon pressing escape, the video starts playing in winamp off screen from the beginning????

    I thought that media player classic was supposed to play videos, perhaps i need to specify which app in windows plays them.

    But why would it start playing upon quitting the video player screen?

    you may want to make a debug log and see what exactly it's executing.. in any case, you should at least say WHAT you're attempting to do exactly because the command "!SELECT||LOAD;video_player.skin" should be exactly what "SELECT" does (BY DEFAULT) if you don't have anything setup in exectbl.ini -- so why would you want to override it?
