    new standards for logo's suggestion

well with the top team of RR developers , now setting new standards , for us to follow , and really tidy's up the function of rr,

i wondered if its worth makeing the logos folder apart of this standard, as so many skins here now have logos as part of thier skin to give the user his/her's own choice to define the skin to thier personnel taste,

why not have a logo's folder in rr root so the skins don't have to add this folder to there skin file, this will help in a small way for the skin file size so also making it easyier and quicker for downloading.look how many times you would down load a logo's folder when you down load a skin.

i don't mean for this to be hardcoded in rr , its only for skinners to change acouple of lines and done ,

Does this seem a good idea , especially for those skin junkies out there ( you know who you are lol..)

glad its worth an idea i have amended my code for this , so its a very easy change

but users must consider that this is just the start , dose not mean move your folder now, user will have to wait till the skinner of your fav skin has made the amendments and has notified on thier thread that the change has been made .

And that's one of the main issues with Road Runner Standardization: it's ultimately up to the end user (primarily the skin junkies, like me) to fix the existing skins and hope new skins follow suit. No one expects or can demand currently supported skin designers to make the transition just cause we say so. That' why the standardization thread is only a list with discussions for Guino's final approval. And even then nothing is mandatory.

oh i'm not forcing this on anyone , it just makes sense, who wants 5 folders of the same logo's, hopefully the skinners and users alike will agree and make the changes , if not so be it , it is the user and skinners choice in the end.

this is why the title of this thread is suggestion

I will change the DigitalFX skin to use the logo's folder no problem. If someone wants, I can supply all of the logo's that I have for my skin in png format. I have just about all of the major manufacturers (57 logo's currently). This way it is a "start" to a standard.

This way the logo's could be packaged up and downloaded from somewhere, and not have to be packaged with every skin.

I knew I'd heard this idea somewhere. What about the other stuff guys?
