As soon as i get MPC/Skinbedder to act right, it would be considered done. Right now, everytime i start a movie, it plays but the MPC top bar duplicates and the movie is cut-off on the bottom. Going to mess with some settings and see...

Talking DONE (for the most part)

Here it is - video and GPS running simultaneously inside RR

This is not at all user friendly but i think it proves the concept that skinbedder CAN embed 2 apps into RR, in fact, you can embed as many apps as could fit.

My capture program don't capture the video itself but there is one playing; the GPS screen is inactive 'cause there's no receiver on this laptop but there is no reason why it wouldn't work.

As i said, this is very crude, to avoid skinbedder re-embedding (in another window) the video player, you have to start the video, pause, minimize then fire-up RR; once skinbedder stars, it will grab the window from the taskbar and embed it. From there you can resume play.

Very cumbersome but - The concept has been proven!

    Sorry Blk02si - chopped-up your skin AGAIN

    judges?

I'd put odds on Blk02si if he gave us some more info on how he did it and how it works. My way is super simple easy to operate, Treetop777's is almost as visually stunning as Blk02si, but the kludge necessary to make it work is too much for in-car use. My bookie calls it even money on mine, 8:1 on treetop777 gettin it useable while driving and 30:1 on Blk02si cause it looked faked to him.

If GPS can be ovlerlayed on video, what i keeping up from overlaying it on a standard GIF or PNG. Now this would be cool and usefull.

Or being able to overlay it on over a skin. You could have RR over lay IG when there is a turn coming up. This would be cool.

I was running a custom black theme on the original explorer.exe GUI. For some reason anything that was black (gui, map background, text, whatever) became transparent while over VLC media player. Not sure if it was a bug in VLC, or perhaps my video driver (old laptop with a weak video card) but I liked it! I've never tried to duplicate this on other systems but if you want to try it out, go for all black explorer GUI, black night mode on IG, VLC media playing AVI files.
