I had suggested Minicam though, here :

Capture works great for me on XP SP3, but not on Windows 7, only Minicam.

Beggars can't be choosers though, I'm sure I can make it work with Minicam!

Somebody can say me how to configure the gps interface for minicam (XOBD).

With or without xport , i have no signal in minicam !

I have added a MenuIcons , like Dfx4 .

in agreement here , not a good look. you even have the text overlaping A icon in the menu.
and to honest those indicator icons at the top look well out of place for carwings skin, they look like you have just cut & paste them.

Sorry i do like what you are trying to do. but it would be nice to keep the Carwings style While doing it.

You need xport to get a gps signal for the data to be displayed by Minicam. No Xport, no GPS display. What happens when you click on the GPS config button? It should say if you have data coming or not (no gps found, no data (i.e. no satellite found), 2d fix, 3d fix, these are the status possibilities, only the last two show anything). Remember xport needs to create at least one com port to be connected on every restart.

XOBD has nothing o do with GPS, it just read OBD (on board diagnostic (speed, rpm, temperature sensors, etc.) from the COM port with the OBD interface). The Xobd must be running in the taskbar.

I was going to say something about the indicators before, but left it as it was nice to see someone going through the effort, but the icons was a step too far.


If you are going to put extra indicators in, make sure they match the original design of the skin.

I am not a good programmer and not a good graphic designer , also that
i can do for the RideRunner community is to modify or to create new screens
that I love or I want for my Carpc .

It is not my skin , I want just change that i don't like (indicators size) and to add a lot of screens who don't exist .

I know, often my job is some cut and past , but i do it with all my heart !

I accept all critical for this job .

I have updated the font size menu .

If all guys prefer that i keep the exact Carwings style, i can .
But do you think that my interpretation is also cool ?
