Thread: faking rrscreen

you can catch most commands in a plugin, and change what it does.

I think that includes load and menu commands

I have done that with RRACCess control, which at the moment just blocks all commands and saves them to end once a successful keycode is entered.

But to then fool another plugin, well it depends on whether it actually checks to see if it is on the correct skin.


Some functions in my plugins do need to check this, others don't.


What plugins and screens are you having a problem with?

the only 1 i think can work is range in fuel ,,, fuel select you have as a list now ,

i don't use these types of popups now , i use a form of switch button /label
but i don't want you to change your code, defeats the object ,,,

uk only use's the range buttons , but i assume your reading the fuelpricesrangemenu.skin , for those cmds to work

Nope, those button commands can be sent from any screen.

The reason that one is different is because the UK one HAS to be one of those 4 values. Anything else and it won't work.

I can change the UK one to send a command rrfp_ukrange instead of just loading the fuelpricesrangemenu.skin and you should be able to intercept that via the exectbl.ini.


What were you planning of having instead of the buttoned menu?

arh any screen well that solves my problem there , its when the butons on the button menu , are assigned to the rrsreen to work , but this is not the case here now for fuel , i just assumed from your cmds as it was titled "Range Select Screen" , they were assigned ...

no don't change cmd's others may want it that way ,,,

Well I can put the command in and it won't make any difference to anyone else as I can interpret that command in the plugin and do what I do already.

No hassle for me if you want it.

The only thing that happens if range5 etc button commands are sent from the fuelpricesrangemenu.skin is that an exit command gets added to the newrange command so that it exits that menu.
