Thanks UK, I edited my post above. I figured it should have worked. Silly oversght
Just open the .skin file in notepad and alter the fields as above.
the latest RR supports it, but you have to change the code in the .skin files from ENTER to SEARCHLIST and SEARCHFILES respectively.Originally Posted by DjBac

Yup it works perfectly after the edit. I have found that I have to hit the browse button after each search to be able to search again, otherwise it just takes me to the list screen. I am loving RR more and moreOriginally Posted by guino

You can solve this by either adding a "BACK" button on the search files skin (so you can get "out" of the search results) OR by making the search button have a code like "!BROWSE||SEARCHFILES" (which would cause it to ALWAYS search your entire music path).Originally Posted by J187

OK, 2 part question Guino.
1. I noticed while looking at the Search_Browser.Skin file in the editor that the button for Search didn't have a "command" box. It has Ascii, Code and Tooltip. Why is this different from most buttons? What actually executes the code?
2. You say put code in like "!BROWSE||SEARCHFILES", where would I put that exactly.
3. How would I make it so that when you got search results and clicked on Select, it started playing the song and brought my right into the audio player screen rather than the list screen. Thanks for the help.
That's 3 parts..
1-Code is the same as command for buttons.
2-Open The skin in the skin editor, select the search_browser skin in the menu, then double click the SEARCH button. Under CODE/Command set it to "!BROWSE||SEARCHFILES" (including quotes).
3-From step 2, double click on the button that says "SELECT" and change the CODE/Command from "SELECT" to "!SELECT||MUSIC". You may want to do the same with the "SELECT+" button to "!SELECT+||MUSIC".
If you want to change/make skins you should read Skin Commands.txt as it explains all of this.

I know it was 3 parts, that was my lame humor.
I know the skin commands explained how to implement things I read it a couple times, but I wasn't exactly sure where to put the changes. The Code thing threw me off, I was used to seeing the Command box and I didn't realize the code for the search button was 013 - just looked out of place from what I was used to. Thanks for the help though, very much appreciated.
I got it working now Guino, thanks. ON this skin the command was actually "Audio" that was the thing that screwed me up the most. I got though, awesome. Now I can search one right after the other without hitting anything additional. And selecting a song from the Search results go right to the audio player. Right on!![]()
Guino, I though it was working but I guess its actually not. I am using a mute computer at work, so when I saw that I had returned to the Player screen after selecting a search result, I assumed it was playing. Not the case however, When I change "Select" to "!SELECT||MUSIC", which for me I guess is actually "!SELECT||AUDIO" and then search, get results and highlight a result and hit select it just returns to the audio_player screen but doesn't play the selection. It doesn't que the selection either. What could be the problem?
P.S I'll start a new thread asking my question as well, perhaps I won't have to keep bothering only you. But if you can help and do respond here, thanks again.
