During the day it is bright and you need a light skin to give out enough light to stand out the washing out of the sunlight on the display.
At night, all is dark and a very light skin makes the screen too light and difficult to look at...

I love this skin... will there be support for TV too? I didn't see it on the menu. Nice work.

yes there will be i just need to regroup the buttons and make a tv skin for it, im working on the making sub menus right now...so might take a while

this is secondary if you add the most things... I'll list my requests cause this is what I'm going to be using... of course others will have different requests...

- If you can make the texts all (or most as possible) generated by RR, we can update colors, fonts etc to suit each other...
- I will be using the following screens so if you can make them it would be a huge help:
> Menu
> Audio
> Video (can we group DVD/Video in the current release?)
> GPS (destinator / hopefully FreeDrive when Guino gets around to adding that)
> TV
> Radio
> Rearview cam (basically external apps I think, so we can have reverse cam, obd, etc, all with volume/playpause/fwd/rew from RR
> Phone
> Extra menu to get to mixer, skins, exit, external apps, rearview cam (manual, I will have auto-trigger), OBD, etc

I hope this isnt too much to ask, but feel free to add whatever you thinkg is useful, I'm just stating what would be *bliss* for me!

1. rr generated fonts will soon be done...(right now the gps fro mthe main menu, audio player sub headings current played etc are chanagable)
2. dvd/video player is already done but i feel the quality is low so im gonna redo it.
3. gps still needs to be done...
4. tv working on it
5. web browser errr might leave this till last.
6.radio need to do the skin.ini
7.rear view cam..hmmm great idea...but is it implemented? ill try to do sumthing for it...the volume is just using the hu knob except u press the upper and bottom parts... too bad u cant do sumthing like a ipod touch wheel...

The auto trigger is basically using a phidgets board or other hardware to send a trigger to RR (maybe with hotkeys) when the car is put in reverse. These hotkeys would launch an external app that would be rearview cam.

The skin for rearview cam would be just a skin for external applications... generic skin with a big whole in the middle I guess....

Again, if you release this stuff we can work on changes that suit each of us...

Will the menu and stuff be customixeable labels?

all the labels will be changable except the ones that are on a 90 degree angle, cuz i dont no if its possible to display the text like that with rr...i see what u mean now...about the auto triggers...ill see what i can do for that...but i think i got an idea basicly...it just jumps to that screen with no buttons right? sorta like the launch but...it would exit on its own or do we close it...

i dont know how far the support for going away from the screen will go in RR, i'll see when i get the hw together...

I'd still like an "exit/volume/play/stop/ff/fr" toolbar
